Greetings! I am a researcher working on BGP security in Tsinghua University, specifically focusing on ROV deployment and its effectiveness against prefix hijacking attacks. Now I am seeking information about ASes that have received or observed RPKI-Invalid routes in the wild. I'm wondering if anyone or any organization has shared or is willing to share such information? DNS and subdomains

Hi Folks, Feel free to tell me this isn't the proper place for my question but given that networking and DNS are hand in hand I thought it might be reasonable to ask here. In working with several OSINT sources for domain processing it seems like the way domains and subdomains are processed essentially equates subdomains with FQDNs. For example, several APIs (and even ChatGPT) classify the following: access.api.bbc.com account-api.api.bbc.com account-api.int.api.bbc.com account-api.stage.api.bbc.com account-api.test.api.bbc.com account-cdn.test.api.bbc.com with subdomains as either: all subdomains as api.bbc.com or as subdomains of access.api, account-api.api, account-api.int.api, etc. instead of classifying as: api.bbc.com int.api.bbc.com stage.api.bbc.com test.api.bbc.com Has this become common practice? Is there a definitive way to determine subdomains? I seem to recall that "older" dns server software wouldn't allow this but it could be that my memory is faulty. Thanks! Cheers, Harry

Off Topic, can someone from Amazon please update our pin location on our address or block amazon drivers and use other carriers? We are located on a rural route and while we do have a 911 address, amazon says that is not valid either. While talking to customer service for the past couple months, they have recommended us to shop with other companies and not use Amazon services anymore. Thanks Travis

Filtering "Illegal" Video

I've never paid much attention to the abilities to filter traffic because I didn't care what my customers were doing until which time a lawful order told me to care. Someone recently asked me that since there was only one legal way in a particular country to consume television service over IP, was there any way to block the "illegal" streams. I put "illegal" in quotes because some of it really is the pirated crap, but some is likely just watching Netflix, Prime, Hulu, etc. over a VPN. With the tooling I have, no, I can't block that stuff. Well, at least not with any precision. I'd certainly miss a bunch and there would be a bunch of collateral damage. However, I also know that I'm not using overly sophisticated tooling or methods to achieve this. Are there platforms out there that can accomplish this with any precision? No, I don't know what constitutes "TV" in that jurisdiction, nor do I ask this group to weigh in on that. Are YouTube, Vimeo, and Rumble "TV"?
