Hi Nanogers, I am preparing for my CCIE Voice lab, which needs voice equipment hands on practice, and i don't have enough money to pursue that. Would it be possible if someone has spare phones like Cisco 7960g, PVDM modules, fxo/fxs VICs, mc3810 voice gateway, Digium T1/E1 card, 2621/3640 router or any other related equipment. Hi NANOG readers, We've noticed that Trend Micro "mail-abuse.com" just "assumes" ips are dynamic by default, adds them to their stupid list, and then expects US to update -their- database -for them- for free to get them off their stupid list again. (as ofcourse our customers bug us when their email doesn't arrive on the other side, hell they even tell the customers to bug -us- ;) because they just assume that working, rfc compliant, reverse dns that just-so-happens to be automatically generated would indicate dynamic ip space.. (or actually because they think using customer-pressure is a good way to get isps to maintain their product (their database) for them for free). we've basically told them to go to hell and we advise everyone who uses their RBL lists to remove their RBLs from their configs, as what we have here is a mismanaged list. as ofcourse we neither intend to change our perfectly fine "aXXX-XXX-XXX-XXX.cb3rob.net." reverse dns scheme, nor maintain their database for free for them.. they've probably done the same with other isps that use simular schemes. just to let everyone know... ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Wed, 9 Dec 2009 12:07:50 GMT From: Adelaide Santos via RT <dul(a)mail-abuse.org> To: sven(a)cb3rob.net Cc: sales(a)cb3rob.net Subject: [MAPS #322153] Re: WWW remove for 84.22.XX.XX Hello, Thank you for this information. Issues with level3 in Seattle

Hey gang, just curious if anyone else has been having any issues with level3 (as3356) here in Seattle? 4 times today traffic transiting them has been blackholed for 1-2 minutes, and then recovers. No route withdrawals, etc.. just blackholing for a few minutes. Has happened 4 times now today, a few hours apart each time. Hi, ASPEWS is listing 216.83.32.0/20 as being associated with the whole Atrivo incident of 2008. My memory does not recall 216.83.32.0/20 being involved, nor the provider that belongs to. So it'd be cool if I could you know, talk to someone who has involvement with that, because frankly, I do not see why it is listed as having any involvement with Atrivo. Also, the fact that Atrivo is *dead* and this stuff is still listed means that anyone who gets those blocks from ARIN next are basically screwed. Which kind of sucks. William

L.A Area routing issues?

Anyone in in the greater L.A area experiencing routing/traffic issues? Some of our remote users in L.A (various ISP's ) are having difficulty reaching some of our systems here in Phoenix. We are on Carpathia and Cogent here.
