I am attempting to setup bfd with IPv6 on Cisco 4948E-E running IOS 15.2. bfd on IPv4 works great, but I'm having troubles with IPv6 and spent hours on it. The trouble exists whether I use OSPFv3 or BGP. Each side transmits, but the other side doesn't receive. Same interface works fine on IPv4. Any and all help would be appreciated! OARC 41 - Call for Contribution -- deadline extension & location announcement

Deadline for OARC 41 abstract submission is extended to June 20th, 23:59 UTC. Please note that, we are looking for contributions and remote participation is actively supported ********************************* OARC 41 will be a two-day hybrid meeting and the dates are 6th and 7th September to be co-located with ICANN DNS Symposium in Da Nang, Vietnam. The Programme Committee is seeking contributions from the community. All DNS-related subjects and suggestions for discussion topics are welcome. For inspiration, we provide a non-exhaustive list of ideas: Operations: Any operational gotchas, lessons learned from an outage, details/reasons for a recent outage (how to improve TTR, tooling). Deployment: DNS config management and release process. Monitoring: Log ingestion pipeline, analytics infrastructure, anomaly detection. Scaling: DNS performance management and metrics. Increasing DNS Server Efficiency Security/Privacy: DNSSEC signing and validation, key storage, rollovers, qname minimization, DoH/DoT The presentations can be either 10 or 20 minutes in length (plus 5 minutes for Q&A). doug madory is asking me for a cite for the exciting 1997/8 128/9 bgp event. my memory as reported to doug is soon after the 7007 incident, an engineer in a UUNET lab, not realizing they were connected to the real internet, used the hidden bgp test command to generate 128/9 chopped into /24s. took uunet down, but not before it propagated. does anyone have a useful cite? randy

Enabling DNSSEC signing for pagerduty.com

Hi all, We (PagerDuty) are in the process of enabling DNSSEC signing across our domains, and today (June 6th) we’re planning to enable it for pagerduty.com and associated subdomains (e.g. eu.pagerduty.com) Given the potential impact and the large number of organizations using our services, we thought it would be a good idea to let people know it’s happening in case any problems occur. If you do see any issues, feel free to contact me directly or support via support(a)pagerduty.com. As an aside, we’ve talked with a few other organizations that have enabled DNSSEC signing and have gotten a lot of useful information as a result. We’d be more than happy to hear from other people who have gone through the process and also to share what we’ve learned in the future in case it helps anyone else! LACNOG 2023 - Call for Presentations LACNOG, the Latin American and Caribbean Network Operators Group, will hold its LACNOG 2023 conference together with the LACNIC 40 event from 2 to 6 October 2023. This meeting will be held in hybrid format in the city of Fortaleza, Brazil. The LACNOG 2023 Program Committee invites the Internet community to submit their presentation proposals for the event. In line with the spirit of LACNOG, presentations should address topics geared towards regional Internet development. Apparently the RIAA is back suing ISP's (Cox in this case) for users pirating music. It was pretty bogus back then, but with the uptake of TLS for almost everything and DoH to conceal DNS requests what exactly is an ISP supposed to do these days?
