Does anyone have a traceroute path example where transit responds with RFC5837 EO? https://github.com/8enet/traceroute/blob/master/traceroute/extension.c#L101 Output should be '2/x: <hex>' At least JNPR seems to support this: https://www.juniper.net/documentation/us/en/software/junos/transport-ip/top… - although support may be just QFX5100, documentation is ambiguous. There is also a patch ( https://lore.kernel.org/all/6a7f33a5-13ca-e009-24ac-fde59fb1c080@gmail.com/… ) for linux, but it's not included in the kernel. -- ++ytti

Flapping Transport

I have a wave transport vendor that suffered issues twice about ten days apart, causing my link to flap a bunch. I put in a ticket on the second set of occurrences. I was told that there was a card issue identified and would be notified when the replacement happened. Ticket closed. Three weeks later, I opened a new ticket asking for the status. The new card arrived the next day, but since no more flaps were happening, the card would not be replaced. Ticket closed. A) It doesn't seem like they actually did anything to fix the circuit. B) They admitted a problem and sent a new card. C) They later decided to not do anything. Is that normal? Is that acceptable? I'm wondering if anyone from the Amazon Prime team might be hanging around or if anyone has a good contact? We are seeing a number of our CG-NAT subnets getting blocked with the "VPN" error, likely because they are seeing too many customers from the same or similar IP's. We'd like to talk to them about working through this or a whitelist or something. Cogent Abuse - Bogus Propagation of ASN 36471

NANOG, A customer of Cogent has a compromised router that is announcing prefixes sourced from AS 36471. Cogent is propagating that to the world. Problem is, those prefixes and AS don't belong to that customer of Cogent - AS 36471 belongs to Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (see whois). Requests to Cogent Support and Abuse go un-actioned. Need a contact at Cogent Abuse that can shut down that compromised router. Anyone have a good contact at Cogent Abuse Dept?
