Paging Comcast

I need to get in touch with someone at Comcast urgently. We just acquired an office. Their service is hosed up and their IPs are routing out of Washington State to Ashburn VA before dying. A tech is on-site and says there's something wrong with the account and that it might be because it's a "national account". I asked him to just set me up with new service. He said he can't and I have to go through a sales rep or the support number. My sales guy isn't answering and every time I wade through 5 minutes of IVR and reach a human and explain it, they say "hang on a moment" and then I'm transferred back to the IVR. I desperately need to fix the issue with static IPs on the existing account or get new service installed because we're supposed to be live Monday morning at 7:30 AM local time. -A

Please tell me the only way to speak to someone there is to pay a monthly fee when your own coders are breaking your own services. Thanks.

I'd like to direct you to Job's writeup on this :) https://mailman.nanog.org/pipermail/nanog/2017-August/191897.html While these "optimizers" CAN be beneficial to the individual operator, they're apparently used incorrectly in some instances. Telia should've filtered, that's for sure. But the leak shouldn't have occured in the first place. RFC 5549 - IPv4 Routes with IPv6 next-hop - Does it really exists?

Let's just jump all the arguing about lack of IPv4, the need of IPv6, and etc... I must confess that I don't know all the RFCs. I would like it, but I don't! And today, I reached on https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5549 I knew that was possible to transfer v4 routes over v6 BGP sessions, or v6 routes over v4 BGP sessions. But I got surprised when I saw this youtube vídeo of AMS-IX guys considering use a v6 only Lan, and doing v6 next-hops to v4 routes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJOtfiHDCMw Well... I guess that idea didn't go to production. But the questions are: There is any network that really implements RFC5549?
