LACNOG 2021 - Call for Presentations LACNOG, the Latin American and Caribbean Network Operators Group, will hold its LACNOG 2021 conference from 11 to 15 October 2021 together with the LACNIC 36 event.This meeting is scheduled to be held in person in the city of Cali, Colombia (if the evolution of the epidemiological situation in the region allows).Otherwise, this conference will be held online. The LACNOG 2021 Program Committee invites the Internet community to submit their presentation proposals for the event. In line with the spirit of LACNOG, proposed topics must be geared towards Internet development in the region. 100G, input errors and/or transceiver issues

Good day, Over the last two years, organizations that I've worked with have upgraded equipment and now make regular use of 100G port speeds. To provide a frame of reference on use cases, the organizations that I've worked for make use of 100G speeds within their own data centers, in carrier neutral data centers, and lease 100G transport from larger carriers; they don't currently operate their own 100G coherent/long-haul networks. - How commonly do other operators experience input errors with 100G interfaces? - How often do you find that you have to change a transceiver out? Either for errors or another reason. - Do we collectively expect this to improve as 100G becomes more common and production volumes increase in the future? Thanks, Graham

NANOG Community, The NANOG Program Committee (PC) would like to remind you they are accepting proposals for in-person or remote presentations at all sessions of NANOG 83, our first hybrid meeting, taking place in Minneapolis, MN on November 1st-3rd, 2021. Below is a summary of key details and dates from the Call For Presentations on the NANOG website, which can be found at https://www.nanog.org/program/call-presentations/. Don’t wait! Presentation abstracts and draft slides should be submitted no later than Monday, September 27, 2021. Given by many of the industry’s top minds, presentations at NANOG meetings are meant to spark the imagination, encourage dialog, and drive new solutions to our greatest networking challenges. Presentations may cover current technologies, soon-to-be deployed technologies, and industry innovation. Vendors are welcome to submit talks which cover relevant technologies and capabilities, but presentations should not be promotional, or discuss proprietary solutions. T-Mobile RF contact

I realize this isn’t an RF list but was hoping someone on here could point me in the right direction. Does anyone know how to get in touch with a T-Mobile RF engineer? Our CBRS network has been receiving heavy interference from what we believe is a new T-Mobile site at an American tower facility. The equipment isn’t registered with the SAS and appears to be operating in the part 90 portion of the band 3650-3700mhz as a part 90 device and not a part 96 CBRS device. American tower has been no help other than opening a ticket. Federated is our SAS vendor and they haven’t been any help either other than telling us it’s not in the SAS. I’ve also done an application search in the FCC auction 105 (CRBS) site, but T-mobile must have been bidding under a different name. A couple of hours after midnight UTC, the control plane policers for unresolved traffic on a couple of our CE routers started being clogged with ping-scanning activity from 2620:96:a000::/48, which belongs to «Internet Measurement Research (SIXMA)» according to ARIN. We just blocked the prefix at our AS border to get rid of that noise. Those ACLs are currently dropping packets at a rate of around 600 pps. I was just curious to hear if anyone else is seeing the same thing, and also whether or not people feel that this is an okay thing for this «Internet Measurement Research (SIXMA)» to do (assuming they are white-hats)?
