LACNOG 2021 - Call for Presentations LACNOG, the Latin American and Caribbean Network Operators Group, will hold its LACNOG 2021 conference from 11 to 15 October 2021 together with the LACNIC 36 event.This meeting is scheduled to be held in person in the city of Cali, Colombia (if the evolution of the epidemiological situation in the region allows).Otherwise, this conference will be held online. The LACNOG 2021 Program Committee invites the Internet community to submit their presentation proposals for the event. In line with the spirit of LACNOG, proposed topics must be geared towards Internet development in the region. The following is a non-exhaustive list of some of the topics of interest for the LACNOG 2021 meeting: ● Network operation and professional experiences, success stories ● Internet of Things ● MANRS ● Community Networks ● IPv6 integration and deployment ● Experiences involving botnets, malware, spam, viruses, denial of service attacks and exploit techniques ● IP network architecture, sizing, configuration and administration ● Routing and switching protocols, including unicast, multicast, anycast, SDN, etc. ● End-user applications (e.g., e-mail, HTTP, DNS, NFVs) ● Value-added services such as VPNs, distributed systems, cloud computing, etc. ● Peering, Internet traffic exchange, IXPs ● Network data security and management, attack mitigation ● Network monitoring, performance, measurements and telemetry ● Network automation, evolution and convergence ● Infrastructure and physical transport, including optical and wireless networks ● Legislation, regulations and Internet governance issues ● Research and education Possible presentation formats include: ● Lightning talk: brief, 10-minute presentation (including a space for Q&A) ● Presentation: 20-minute presentation (including a space for Q&A) ● Posters: includes a single-page PDF (A2or smaller) with the basic information of the presentation plus a 2- to 5-minute video with the presentation Deadlines for the 2021 call for proposals will be as follows: ● Reception of proposals: 24June to 23 July 2021 ● Proposals will be accepted until: 23 July 2021 at 23:59 UTC-3 (Uruguay time) ● Evaluation by the Program Committee: 26 July to 8 August 2021 ● Announcement of results: 10 August 2021 ● Deadline for submitting the final presentation: 10 August - 17 September 2021 ● Final presentations will be accepted until: 17 September 2021 at 23:59 UTC-3 (Uruguay time) ● Event date: 11 to 15 October 2021 Applicants must submit a summary and a draft of the slides of their proposed presentation along with a brief biography, for which they must use the form available athttps://eventos.nog.lat/e/lacnog2021 <https://eventos.nog.lat/e/lacnog2021> If your work is selected, you authorize LACNOG and LACNIC to publish your name, photograph, biography and final work in the event program. 100G, input errors and/or transceiver issues

Good day, Over the last two years, organizations that I've worked with have upgraded equipment and now make regular use of 100G port speeds. To provide a frame of reference on use cases, the organizations that I've worked for make use of 100G speeds within their own data centers, in carrier neutral data centers, and lease 100G transport from larger carriers; they don't currently operate their own 100G coherent/long-haul networks. - How commonly do other operators experience input errors with 100G interfaces? - How often do you find that you have to change a transceiver out? Either for errors or another reason. - Do we collectively expect this to improve as 100G becomes more common and production volumes increase in the future? Thanks, Graham

NANOG Community, The NANOG Program Committee (PC) would like to remind you they are accepting proposals for in-person or remote presentations at all sessions of NANOG 83, our first hybrid meeting, taking place in Minneapolis, MN on November 1st-3rd, 2021. Below is a summary of key details and dates from the Call For Presentations on the NANOG website, which can be found at https://www.nanog.org/program/call-presentations/. Don’t wait! Presentation abstracts and draft slides should be submitted no later than Monday, September 27, 2021. Given by many of the industry’s top minds, presentations at NANOG meetings are meant to spark the imagination, encourage dialog, and drive new solutions to our greatest networking challenges. Presentations may cover current technologies, soon-to-be deployed technologies, and industry innovation. Vendors are welcome to submit talks which cover relevant technologies and capabilities, but presentations should not be promotional, or discuss proprietary solutions. The primary speaker, moderator, or author should submit a presentation proposal and abstract via the Program Committee Tool at: https://www.nanog.org/meetings/submit-presentation/ - Sign in with your Profile Account - Select the type of talk you propose to present, and complete the form Timeline for submission and proposal review: - Submitter enters abstract (and draft slides if possible) in the Program Committee Tool prior to the deadline for slide submission. - PC performs initial review and assigns a “shepherd” to help develop the submission — typically within 2 weeks. - Submitter develops draft slides of talk if not already submitted with the initial proposal. Please submit initial draft slides early — the PC does not evaluate submissions until draft slides are available for review. T-Mobile RF contact

I realize this isn’t an RF list but was hoping someone on here could point me in the right direction. Does anyone know how to get in touch with a T-Mobile RF engineer? Our CBRS network has been receiving heavy interference from what we believe is a new T-Mobile site at an American tower facility. The equipment isn’t registered with the SAS and appears to be operating in the part 90 portion of the band 3650-3700mhz as a part 90 device and not a part 96 CBRS device. American tower has been no help other than opening a ticket. Federated is our SAS vendor and they haven’t been any help either other than telling us it’s not in the SAS. I’ve also done an application search in the FCC auction 105 (CRBS) site, but T-mobile must have been bidding under a different name. We just blocked the prefix at our AS border to get rid of that noise. Those ACLs are currently dropping packets at a rate of around 600 pps. I was just curious to hear if anyone else is seeing the same thing, and also whether or not people feel that this is an okay thing for this «Internet Measurement Research (SIXMA)» to do (assuming they are white-hats)?
