Good Day, We are a small ISP in Indonesia and due to limited IPv4 we are natting our users to a single IPv4. It seems like Google search engine does not like this and mark our users as bot when they are visiting the search engine. I have tried to reach out the support pages but not could get hold of anyone. May I know if anyone could kindly share a google contact on this? Thanks! Best, Edy

Does anyone know why (or can someone from Comcast explain why) there is no PTR on their residential/business IPv6 addresses?

Given the impact of the person, and the philosophy he ingrained in the design of the Internet, any hint that people are beginning to forget should motivate more frequent reminders, or tutorials, or entry quizes, or something. My own acquaintance with Jon was slight, but I can see his foundation in things I care about. --Sandy

IRC SASL Auth borked over Sprint 4G

Both WiMax and LTE, as far as I can tell, block SASL auth somehow, such that while tethered through my Galaxy S4 (and my old Evo 4G), I can't log into Freenode. Hi, I have been trying to get around the Hotmail JMRP helpdesk scripts which only supports adding and modifying accounts. invalid SOA record? or just unusual

Hello nanog, Hopefully someone will have some input here on this DNS problem and why it is happening. I have just uncovered what seems to be a misconfiguration in an SOA record. This causes the domain to be unable to be resolved via a few of my DNS servers. It seems to work everywhere else I check it just fine, except for these two DNS servers. One of these DNS servers is Win 2003 and the other is the standard latest RHEL6 bind 9.8.2.blah-blah so I don't think it would be a bug that affects both. They are both behind a NAT Firewall gateway which could also be causing problems by inspecting DNS traffic... Below is the SOA record in question for the site that cannot be resolved by our name servers. Interesting, isn't it--how many (r)evolutionary cycles we have been through, and what a different world we are in now, with nary a Teletype--not even a glass one--to be found. And yet MOST of the people that did the early work are still alive. Sadly, some are not.
