As we announced nearly a year ago, DNSresolvers.com open resolvers shutdown is imminent. If you are still using dnsresolvers.com for lookups, this will stop working when we shut it down. Check your resolver lists for: 205.210.42.205 64.68.200.200 and remove them. We will be back with a more sensible resolver system in the future, but it will not be wide open the way these ones are. Help with route latency between TATA and Comcast

I am doing some testing between my Comcast Business connection and a Singapore server that I have just setup. I am seeing high latency to the server but it appears it is the Comcast to TATA link and not the link between the U.S. and Singapore. At least that is what I can gather from the reverse lookup in the traceroute. Can someone please enlighten me as to if I am correct or not? Topic: ICANN Vs. The World. The question at hand is.. Do countries/businesses have to affiliate or utilize any of those services provided by ICANN other than the assignment of an IP address? And can you get away with LAN/CAN/MAN stand-alone systems [instead of utilizing DNS-via-ICANN]?? Example: Is it legal to cut off those DNS systems and loop in backwards? (instead of bidirectional). ** I don't want my city/schools/other systems hooked into the World Wide Web. // someone let me know when you get a chance.

At .ca, we see a very low IPv6 adoption rate in .ca domains and slow progression rate. See last ~3 years trends at www.cira.ca/radarv6 Just as an indicator, we have 316 .ca domains with IPv6 glue records :-( *** Can the major Canadian ISP reply back with their plans/timelines/costs on IPv6 offerings for commercial and residential services? CIRA could compile this info somewhere for reference. *** BTW, while at it, we have a lot of work to do for DNSSEC validation in Canada; some stats filtered with more than 4000 clients as measured early 2014 by APNIC, Geoff Huston. There's *lots* of gear out there that will move 100mb/s all day long with no problems, but if you smack it with too many 50-byte packets per second, it will have a nervous breakdown.
