HP 42U Cabinet - Caster fitting instructions?

Hello, My apologies for the off topic message. Mentioned previously, we have a HP Server Cabinet (42U 10842 G2), that was stripped down to the bare-bones chassis. I can't for the life of me figure how the caster wheels are meant to attached. We have two bolts for each caster, but what seems like only one fitting point for each. I have the installation instructions for the cabinet, but I believe it comes shipped with the casters attached as it makes no reference to how to fit these. Any help on how these attach from someone with a similar cabinet, perhaps even a picture, would be much appreciated! Rob

[NANOG-announce] NANOG 52 overflow hotel possibility

It appears that the primary hotel in Denver for NANOG 52 is close to being sold out for the night of Tuesday, June 14. We are exploring alternate hotels nearby. It might be possible to get a small room block with a discounted rate at a hotel a few blocks away, but NewNOG would need to guarantee a minimum number of room nights and pay for any shortfall. So, if you have not yet made hotel reservations for NANOG 52 but plan to do so, please reply privately to me with your name and the exact nights you would need. We will use that information to determine if there is sufficient demand to guarantee the additional room block. I remember some discussion of this outage on NANOG, and on what it was costing Egypt. Well, here is an estimate - almost $ 20 million USD / day (which actually sounds low to me). In previous networks I've generally seen a doubling of traffic every 12 months. Generally the traffic is static during spring/summer, and then doubles over 6 months in autumn/winter. I know nothing of this student, the school, or the study. I will say -- as an academic who frequently does research involving human subjects, generally including surveys -- that this is a very normal way to proceed. Finding enough subjects is always hard; it's the single biggest obstacle we encounter. Paying people is the usual approach, but for a group like this, the usual nominal amount we pay undergrads ($10-25) isn't enough. Other common approaches -- flyers all over campus, offers on Mechanical Turk, ads on Facebook or Google Adwords, etc. -- won't work if you're trying to get people with specialized knowledge or skills. What's left? I might add that by federal law, all government-funded research involving human subjects has to be approved by an "IRB" -- an Institutional Review Board -- and many universities (including my own) impose that requirement on all research, even if no federal funds are involved. While it's certainly not rare to do studies that involve (initial) deceit of the subjects (you want them reacting normally, rather than giving the answers they think you want), the IRB has to see the full protocol and experiment design. You may be right, of course; I can't say. I haven't contacted the student's professor nor have I asked to see the IRB protocol. Given that any legitimate study of this type would be conducted along the lines explained in the original post, I'd say that the burden of proof is on you. (Of course, as a security guy I know full well that that notion of "normal behavior" is the best way to hide an attack.) I don't use almost any bandwidth outside of Netflix, Steam game downloads, and getting my daily dose of streaming starcraft videos and ntop tells me I averaged 1.7mbps over the last month. Mind you this is on an 8mbps peak connection. With peak speeds of 8m I would be pissed if I was getting 500k, much less if I had a 100m connection and got less than a meg. I have no doubt that if I had a faster connection that I would have used even more bandwidth... With the popularity of streaming video now a 1000:1 or even a 100:1 oversubscription rate is almost definitely just going to cause you headaches... Back in my days of noc, 9 out of 10 bandwidth AUP abusers weren't even using torrents, they were almost all netflix or people that got rid of cable to watch video online.
