Thanks for the feedback, but this is not the case. The problem has been identified to be extraordinarily site specific. I'm attempting to follow the recommendations of members that mailed me off list one at a time, and am proceeding with testing. It would be of great value if other mail admins who are running Qmail that have a few minutes could contact me off list in order to compare some quick test results/config setups. Steve

AOL Instant Messenger

Is anyone else seeing issues with AOL Instant Messenger? Personally, my PC logged out for 10-15 minutes this morning and came right back, but my home PC and the desktops of many employees have intermittent issues (some have been unable to connect since 9:15 am CDT). This seems like a good demarcation for the colors, but two things. Its a bit more expensive, and, it typically makes for a pretty mess. You're talking pre determined cable lengths for the most part. I tend to avoid patch cables like the plague and invest in long term deployments cut to length. Intelligently strapping in mostly permanent wiring should be worth the investment and reduce outages in the long run. The colors don't hurt.
