8830 Complex Drive Datacenter in San Diego - Anyone Else Affected

Several carriers went down around 7am this morning, all tied to a datacenter in San Diego that has apparently shut down. Sad to see that place go, good guys ran it but there are several carriers that bit the bullet on us today due to that place closing down. Seems every one of them is grasping to get their connections migrated out and customers back online. We do not have gear there but I guess some of our carriers did. Web traffic routing

Hi, There's an online service that does fraud detection by forwarding web traffic to their platform before sending it to its destination. They claim they do it by one of two methods: 1) Traffic is routed to our Cloud via DNS for dynamic async or sync processing before being proxied to the customer’s website or API. 2) Traffic is mirrored or routed to our ] Cloud via serverless functions in Cloudflare, Fastly, Akamai, or AWS. Routed traffic is proxied to our customer’s website or API. If anyone can point me to how these two work, i'd appreciate it. Also, any potential issues related to performance. Thanks, Sam

Openstack modules for nx/juniper

Hey folks, For those of you running/managing/dealing with openstack installations, would you be so kind as to shed some light on what you're doing for integrating Juniper and Cisco nexus devices specifically? My goals include basic stuff like managing vxlan/vni allocation and integration, etc, managing the ports to which compute nodes are connected, vpnaas, and maybe some other relatively (imho) basic functionality. The official juniper neutron plugin is from 2016 and the Cisco stuff isn't any better. Hoping there's some newer, better option out there that I should be working with, but if it's actually the case that folks are just still running just fine with the older modules on modern openstack then that's fine too. What I really want to avoid is having to hire dev contractors to write code to deal with this. Providing geofeed info to Google

Google folks: I see historical reference to needing to use the Google Peering Portal ( http://peering.google.com) if you need to provide Google with geofeed info for GeoIP info on network blocks, ref https://mailman.nanog.org/pipermail/nanog/2015-May/075229.html. Is that still the case? Are there any avenues to provide Google with geofeed info if you're *not* currently peering with 15169? Or to get access to just the geofeed update portion of the Peering Portal? -- Hugo Slabbert

NO Owen, we can't have a single rogue member bring a whole entity that is mandated with an important task for the continent to a stand still just because they can twist the law and quote bylaws or manipulate processes. This is WRONG and shall remain to be so no matter how repeated and "fancily" satinize it with a good read of the mandalorians ways of life.
