If your bad luck is ATM luck it can't be all bad. Try at least 11.1.6, and run the aip20-9 microcode load. You may have to open a ticket to get the microcode image. It never hurts to have Cisco check the rev levels of *all* cards in your router for possible interactions. If you have any DVMRP tunnels on these systems watch out for BUG 77855. It is in 11.1(6), 11.1(7), 11.2(1) and 11.2(2). Our router was crashing after about 20 hours. ID: 77855 Feature-set: queuing Title: I/O Memory Leak caused by bw > 2048 on tunnel interface Reported: 11.2(1) 11.1(6) Integrated: Severity: 2 State: R I/O memory on a system can start leaking and deplete if a tunnel interface is configured together with a bandwidth greater than 2048. HOW DO I GET IP'S?

Can anyone suggest a good way to get a CIDR block from the internic? We are two separate isps with separate ASNs, merged under one corporation, with one of them currently getting addresses from an upstream provider (/20). The problem is that in that location we are out of addresses, are multi-homed, and dissatisfied with our current provider. We need addresses before we can switch over, but the internic refuses to release any to us until we have used another /20 from our current provider. Thus, the internic has forced us to use one carrier with poor service. Legally, is this a monopoly? Has anyone started a class action suit? error rate

I think I might have seen this question before, so please excuse me if this is not appropriate and just ignore it. Could someone let me know what would be an acceptable error rates on a leased line, especially international (transoceanic) links? This would break down to transmission error on the fiber/satelite, electronic error on end equipments (includes DACS, DSU/CSU, routers etc). If any references could be provided, that would be even better! Thanks!
