Disney+ contacts or geolocation ideas

I’m looking for a technical contact at Disney regarding geo-location. I have a client (apartment building) with a /24 (one IP per apartment). We recently upgraded out Internet connection to give a much-needed speed boost. Same connectivity provider, same IP addresses, just a bigger pipe. Since then, a while bunch of people have been unable to get to Disney+, while some can. Those that fail have existing D+ subscriptions, and get “error code 73”, which allegedly relates to location and rights management. The bandwidth provider has checked DNS, reverse DNS and contacted Disney, to no avail. WhoIS shows it as being in Toronto, Canada. Meanwhile, there is a lynch mob forming, and a scaffold being built in the parking lot :-). Any pointers on how to find someone at Disney with clue, who will be able to tickle their geolocation databane. The really irritating part is that everything worked until we had the bandwidth upgrade.

BFD for long haul circuit

Classification:Public Guys, I'm looking for recommendation regarding BFD timers that we can use for long haul circuit. RTT is roughly around 110 ms. In fact this is a l2vpn ckt provided by a telco. Can you please advise the factors we can consider when setting the BFD timers (or any recommended values)? I have set 10 ms dead time but this is causing BFD to go down occasionally. I for one would be happy if someone came up with some different acronyms and subdivide the "world of SDN" into some number of sub-techonologies/practices that were at least a little more cohesive with each other so then at least we'd know what keywords to fit into our news feeds so we could pay better attention to the bits that are more relevant to where we are. Ansible/netmiko/<whatevertoolset>+CI/CD applied to kit (and people) does not resemble OpenDaylight or what hyperscalers are doing with DPDK on cards or the Microsoft FPGA-NIC trickery except in the broadest of views. All are good. Sure, they all belong in the toolbox. But maybe not in the same drawer. As it is, we have marketing people sticking "SDN" onto every bloody thing that comes along in the hopes that it'll better catch the attention of someone without enough of a clue that they'll cough up (and leave someone else to figure out what to do with it). I freely admit that's just what they do and expecting them to do anything different is wishful thinking, but I don't see any of us doing anything about it except creating long email chains wherein we just keep trying to munge apples and oranges together. :) -bacon

NANOGers – FYI - LACNIC has adopted a policy for inter-RIR transfers of IPv4 number resources, and this policy is compatible with ARIN’s inter-RIR transfer policies. Issues with deliverability to hotmail -- any Microsoft contacts?

We have been having issues delivering email to hotmail users again, no bulk mail, just various personal emails from a server on our network. We have signed up for SNDS, only identified one mail server of a customer on our network that was flagged as an issue, and it has been remedied, no longer showing in SNDS. We have repeatedly requested removal of our subnet from their block list and it has not worked. MS has done a great job of making it impossible to contact anyone about this. Does anyone have pointers on what else can be done or whom we should contact to get this resolved? Thanks, --Brock -- Brock M. non-rate limited, automatable Looking Glasses?

Hi everyone, In the next couple of months, I want to compare data plane and control plane measurements on a larger scale. In particular, I'm looking for (publicly accessible) devices that receive BGP feeds and can perform a bunch of automated (paris) traceroutes. I currently do not have an exact probing rate or target set in mind; however, I'm sure that manually entering IP addresses as targets for usual Looking glasses won't cut it. Does anyone know less-restricted (maybe even automatable?) Looking Glasses (or similar devices) or is willing to provide access to one? BTW: I though about picking Atlas probes from ASes that feed BGP Collector Projects (e.g. RIPE RIS or RouteViews). Unfortunately, the respective probes are often really far apart from the feeding routers; thus, their individual perspectives are likely misaligned :( Best regards, Lars

MX204 Rails

We're having a ton of problems trying to find a part number for juniper rails (for an mx204) or even finding something that's compatible. I suppose we can just put the router on a rack mount shelf, but man... it's like pulling teeth to get this part number... Does anyone know of where I can find this part number? (no, our distributer can't find the part number, and communication problems with juniper tac is making them think that we're talking about the rack) nic
