paypal and ipv6

Question about AS Origin changes

Hi NANOG list, I am wondering if anyone can give me possible reasons for some uncommon BGP origin change activity. What we see is that sometimes the origin for a prefix seems to change from a customer AS to it upstream provider and back. In many instances the prefix simply switches back and forth for hours or even days and sometimes very rapidly . Below I’m including an example of some of the activities I see. Prefix 202.83.96/20 on border router 154.11.98.225(AS 852) At 14:10:56 Dec 04 2010, the BGP path with AS18106 as the origin At 14:11:57, the BGP path with AS9255 as the origin At 14:14:27, the BGP path with AS18106 as the origin. Does anyone really believe MS is this naïve? I have no doubt at all that some small bit of Nortel will be transferred to MS if that's what's required for the IPs in question to be moved in accordance with normal standards, practice, and policy. IN-ADDR.ARPA NAMESERVER CHANGE COMPLETE This is a courtesy notification of the completion of a change to the nameserver set for the IN-ADDR.ARPA zone. There is no expected impact on the functional operation of the DNS due to this change. There are no actions required by DNS server operators or end users. For more information about this work, please see <http://in-addr-transition.icann.org/>. DETAIL The IN-ADDR.ARPA zone is used to provide reverse mapping (number to name) for IPv4. The servers which now provide authoritative DNS service for the IN-ADDR.ARPA zone are as follows: A.IN-ADDR-SERVERS.ARPA (operated by ARIN) B.IN-ADDR-SERVERS.ARPA (operated by ICANN) C.IN-ADDR-SERVERS.ARPA (operated by AfriNIC) D.IN-ADDR-SERVERS.ARPA (operated by LACNIC) E.IN-ADDR-SERVERS.ARPA (operated by APNIC) F.IN-ADDR-SERVERS.ARPA (operated by RIPE NCC) All root servers dropped the IN-ADDR.ARPA zone according to the schedule posted earlier, and all root servers now respond to queries under IN-ADDR.ARPA with an appropriate referral. Note that as part of this transition, the IN-ADDR.ARPA zone is now signed with DNSSEC and a complete chain of trust now exists from the root zone to the IN-ADDR.ARPA zone. OT: Question/Netflix issues?

Greetings, I know this is way off topic, but is anyone else getting calls/tickets about Netflix access problems? I tried (sucessfully) to duplicate the issues, seems like extremely slow responses from the servers I have tested, as well seems the web servers are also either overloaded or just dropping packets.
