bgp feed to customer

Hi, This is probably a typical setup for border router not speaking BGP, wonder how to handle it properly. Border router B is connected with customer router C. Router C wants default-only/partial/full routes. Router B can't or is not willing to handle it. Router C has a multihop EBGP session with a backbone router A. To get router B know the customer routes, router A redistributes them from EBGP to OSPF. The issue is redistribution from EBGP to OSPF works half way. OSPF database has the external routes, but forwarding address is set to Router A. So the routing loop occurs between A and B. I wonder if it is a design issue or configuration issue? Presentation slides on video feed

Does anyone know why the presentation slides keep going black after a few minutes for each presenter on the video feed? When a new presenter comes to the podium, their presentation appears, buy always goes black after a while. thanks, -Randy

ATM Cell Capture File Request

I need a capture file that can be opened in Wireshark that shows ATM cells to illustrate some lecture notes. The file the Wireshark site has does not show any detail for ATM, despite the file name. A search has uncovered no other file. GNS3 does not support ATM link captures. If anyone has such a thing they could share with me, please contact me offlist. Kenneth M. Chipps Ph.D.

IPv6 and DNS

Hi guys, Firstly, sorry if this may sound too newbie for the list. Reading the discussion about dhcpv6 vs RAs, this question just popped in my mind. It seems that most of IPv6 addressing for hosts will be choosed using EUI-64 method. Considering that no one (specially endusers) will bother to memorize an IPv6 prefix plus a mac address, integration between DNS servers and routers/dhcpv6 servers will be crucial. For dhcp there is already a mechanism for updating names in the DNS server for dynamically assigned IPs. I suppose it will be used (use some modifications) for IPv6. However, I never heard of anything similar for routers (in the case of autoconfigured addresses). Are there any dns servers that support updates from routers ?

Actual IPv6 test day issue

So I found out I had an actual end-user issue related to IPv6 test day. My mother couldn't get to our webmail with her B&N Nook Color (based on Android 2.3). I went over and couldn't connect with my T-Mobile G2 (Android 2.2) either. Their connection is via DSL and does not have IPv6 configured, but they do have a D-Link DIR-825 wireless router (just running as a wireless bridge with DHCP disabled). The DIR-825 was running an older code, 2.02NA, which was "IPv6 ready"; it had router advertisements enabled (there was no config option to disable them). The problem was that while HTTP would work on Android, HTTPS would not (you'd just get the standard "page not available" error). It appears that there is a bug in Android that keeps it from falling back to IPv4 for HTTPS connections. I don't know if that's somebody's idea of an extra level of "security" or what. I upgraded the DIR-825 to 2.05NA, which doesn't have RA always enabled, and everything works now (on IPv4 only). I haven't had a chance to set up a more detailed test; I just figured I'd throw it out there to see if anybody else saw such. -- Chris Adams <cmadams(a)hiwaay.net> Systems and Network Administrator - HiWAAY Internet Services I don't speak for anybody but myself - that's enough trouble.
