Dual BGP Sessions to Comcast

Anyone here have experience with running redundant BGP routers on a Comcast fiber Internet link? We are getting push back from the sales and front-line implementation groups while setting up a new BGP uplink to them. I have several full-feed Internet uplinks with various other ISP's running on a redundant pair of BGP routers. Shy of a few sanity checking questions during setup, no one has had any issues with having more than one BGP session active on a link. Thanks, -Mike

I don't have anything to add to the xxxxxX OSes (they Were Not Allowed when I was an active admin), but I have of late been grappling with what to do about replacing Firefox and Thunderbird in the four machines I have left in my world. Early on I developed a fondness for Mosaic as a simple get-the-job done tool to add to elm and news to get the work done. Netscape did a nice integration and I went with that until it went away. Now I have Thunderbird and Firefox--from people who are committed to the notion that if it works, it must be replaced. If people like it, it must be redesigned. If it is stable, it must be updated. Why is .gov only for US government agencies?

Wondering if some of the long-time list members can shed some light on the question--why is the .gov top level domain only for use by US government agencies? Where do other world powers put their government agency domains? With the exception of the cctlds, shouldn't the top-level gtlds be generically open to anyone regardless of borders? Would love to get any info about the history of the decision to make it US-only. Thanks! Matt
