Verizon and Level3 DNS flush

Dear NANOGers, is there anyone from Verizon and Level3 who can help me with DNS caching issue? We're running a global service for a customer and we had to change to NS IPs via Glue Records. At the moment at least Verizone and Level3 are caching old NS records. Looking for DNS admins out there. Please contact me off- or on-list! Tracking traffic usage at router or switch port?

NANOG Community, Typically where would you expect a service provider to monitor bandwidth usage on your circuits? On the physical switch port interface or on the vlan interface at the router? In some of the field testing I've been doing there can be a difference in the bandwidth usage on the vlan interface at the router vs the physical switch port. Is there any particular reason for using one vs the other? Is there an industry best practice for this? Thanks, Jason

Public DNS64

Anyone know of a reliable public DNS64 service? Would be cool if Google added a Public DNS64 service, then I could point the NAT64 prefix at appropriately placed boxes in my network. Why? Other people are better than me at running DNS resolvers :-) -- Tim:>

Building a technical library

Looking to develop a technical library for about 15 staff members all under the same roof. Subject matter would focus around Juniper/Junos, TCP/IP, dwdm, python, java, and expand from there. The O'reilly Safari service looks rather comprehensive, although at $400/user there may be more value buying hard copies and own them outright (or at least until they walk away). Are there other online resources that offer a good value? Other experiences weighing the pros and cons? Thanks, Chris
