CNN broadcasting online free? Hogging my bandwidth...

I noticed my bandwidth graphs were a little out of whack tonight and after much digging through pcap files I found that my chrome tab with 'cnn.com' had a live stream of cnn playing on the right side halfway down. It seems this started around 8am this morning and it was a macromedia tcp flash stream on port 1935. Did they decide to give free CNN to everyone today? Or is this a goof? Either way it chewed up a lot of my bandwidth which doesn't come cheap here in Canada, eh? Also, sometimes it says: Watch CNN will resume momentarily on the feed but it's still pushing traffic. What a pain! Turning off the 'free' Piers Morgan feed now... - Zachary

If we try to comprehend the Internet in terms of number of boxes that can reach from their local networks to globally routable destinations, we have to take into account Multi- NATed , multi-tunneled (ipv6 over ipv4 in a VPLS , and other crazy scenarios such v6 over v4 in a VPLS running over VXLANs : is that even realistic ? ) overlay networking environments. So also the overlays formed to talk to sensors who can understand say TM/TC ( Telemetry/Tele-commands). In terms of the Address space , the problem statement shows more convergence. Subject: route-views3 resource update * route-views3.routeviews.org * route-views3 was, until yesterday, a Cisco 7206VXR (NPE-G2) 1GB. route-views3 is now a Redhat 6 box running Quagga 0.99.22.3. This change was made due to memory exhaustion on the older hardware. Quagga provides a similar but less powerful CLI. The new platform has allowed us to resume data collection on route-views3. The data format is the same as most of our other collectors. route-views3 is a multi-hop ebgp collector located at the University of Oregon. The resources available are: CLI -- telnet://route-views3.routeviews.org PEERS -- http://www.routeviews.org/peers/route-views3.routeviews.org.txt DATA -- {http,ftp,rsync}://archive.routeviews.org/route-views3/bgpdata/ ex. rsync --list-only archive.routeviews.org::routeviews ex. rsync -av archive.routeviews.org::routeviews/route-views3/bgpdata . ex. rsync -av archive2.routeviews.org::routeviews/route-views3/bgpdata . Please be aware that the older route-views3 data still resides at the higher level within that data directory. New data is being stored in the bgpdata directory. The older data was captured using the Cisco hardware and expect session scripts. Questions and comments are welcome.
