Sprint and peering points

Since I am located in what PacBell thinks is a rural area, I have to contend with using multiple T1s. This forces me to play with the AS paths in order to load balance between my upstreams (Sprint and others) I have found that Sprint is prepending their AS when sending routes to many of the public exchanges (example "1239 1239 20001") in order to "shift load" to private peer connections. The result is that now my other upstreams that send out the normal "701 20001" get the brunt of the traffic from the public exchange points. Needless to say I am a bit pissed at Sprint for doing this and not telling me. I had been a fan of Sprint until this happened. Anyone else out there seeing the same problems? PPPoE server software?

Lame reverse delegation at Sprint

I live on a tiny network at 208.31.42/24, which is SWIP'ed via my ISP to me from Sprint. I do my own reverse DNS. It looks like sometime in the last day or so, Sprint's DNS servers stopped serving 31.208.in-addr.arpa, which of course has broken my reverse DNS. Sprint won't talk to me since I'm not a direct customer, and my ISP has gone home for the weekend. Before I call them at home, if anyone from Sprint is listening, could you make NS[123]-AUTH.SPRINTLINK.NET serve that zone again? California PUC orders outage notification

The California Public Utilities Commission has ordered electric utility companies to provide advance notification of rolling blackouts. In the past some utilities have declined to provide advance notice before blackouts, citing security concerns such as the possibility of looting and rioting. The City of San Francisco complained the lack of notice hampered its ability mobolize police and medical workers. No mention how the utilities will actually accomplish this advance notification.

I was going to say that much as I love InterNAP, you might want to steer clear of them as their stock is down in deathwatch territory. They've been down around $1.50 a share for a while now... but apparently as of today their stock is up 34%. Something I should know about InterNAP? I interviewed with InterNAP last year. My kung-fu wasn't strong enough (Not enough experience with OC-3s, multiplexing and the like). At least I got a free trip to Seattle! InterNAP has some very talented engineers working for them.
