Yes, I knew it was a faked. At first I believed it until I actually telnetted to port 80 and did a get and saw the HTTP/1.0 200 OK, the date, and the Last-Modified date. Customers down?

Since 8am, we've seen a rising amount of customers going down. It's been attributed to them turninf off thier equipment. The local Bell Atlantic DSC claims that 'hundreds, maybe thousands of circuits are down,' mostly due to customers turning stuff off. Everyone else seeing this?

Ok... pretty much as I think everyone here figured, no "serious" problems for the Y2K rollover -- biggest problem are/were the panicing morons... (I particularly enjoyed the lack of red meat and chicken in the store the other day, but no similiar problem for charcoal or any other "alternative" cooking supplies). So far the only thing that's of any consequence that I've noticed isn't working quite-right: my SkyTel Pager... *laugh* Anyone else? Ok... time to finish off the bottle of Dom... Yep. All of my FreeBSD/OpenBSD/Solaris servers survived intact. The only problem we've found is with our NT server reporting 00 as the year in the log files and an old IPAD dos based box that wasn't actually doing anything. -- Joseph W.
