Can anyone point me to examples of using rtconfig to generate IOS-XR configs? Specifically prefix and as-path sets. My Google skills are coming up short. The man page for rtconfig does not mention IOS-XR but it is supposedly supported. I get no farther than 'rtconfig -config ciscoxr'. Thanks.

Xfinity stale DNS

An inadvertent DNS change was made on one of our domains yesterday. While the rest of the ISP world seems to be working correctly after propagation for the fix, I can not get Comcast / Xfinity to clear the stale records. Anyone have suggestions or experience in moving them along?

RBL resource to check entire netblock

Hello, I am wanting to purchase a /22 from one of the online auction sites (Hilco). Before we move ahead with it I wanted to check the history of IPs within the allocation. I find many sites where you can enter 1 IP to do a check but they don't seem to accept subnets to check. Are you aware of any services which could tell us if a /22 is clean or not? my google foo is weak. thank you, greg

Let me be, apparently, the first to extend congratulations to long time NANOGer, Columbia CS professor, security researcher, and co-inventor of Usenet -- does anybody remember Usenet? :-) -- Steven M. How does it look when you examine it by not the count of sessions or links but by the volume of overall data? I wonder if it may change a little like 50% of the volume of traffic is covered by a handshake. (I made 50% up - could be any percentage.) Equinix Chicago Cross COnnects

Yes, another post in this ballpark. I am remembering someone telling me that cross connects from CH3 (Elk Grove Village) to CH1, CH2 or CH4 were not raw glass, but some sort of transport. I lose the details, whether it was wave transport, MPLS or something. I remember the speed of the connection mattering. My Equinix rep tells me that there is no difference from one to the other. I take that to mean that I could put my own wave system on the glass and be fine. I just have a very hard time believing them, based on what I remember and the fact that they've giving me a 25 - 30 mile pair of glass for $350/month. I was hoping to see if anyone else had any experience in this department. Looking for docs on "A" RR duality of functions

Hi. Do you know if there are any docs (RFC, drafts, independent...) that study the tricks being done with the A/AAAA RRs? What I mean is that it is currently being used not only to resolve the IP address of a hostname, but for load-balancing as well, the case being that the hostname is not just a "host"-name anymore, but a "service"-name (?) so to speak. I'd like to know if somebody else has gone deeper into this and if there are related documents on the matter. Thanks.
