SAFNOG-4 + EANOG, tzNOG & TISPA Meeting Announcement

Hello all. It gives me great pleasure to announce that SAFNOG-4, in collaboration with EANOG (East Africa Network Operators Group) and tzNOG (Tanzania Network Operators Group), and hosted by TISPA (Tanzania Internet Service Providers Association) will be held between the 24th - 29th September, 2018, in the warm and sunny city of Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. What is exciting about this year's SAFNOG meeting is that it will be partnering with EANOG and tzNOG, to include both plenary and workshop sessions during the week, as part of the agenda. The main plenary meeting will be held at the Hyatt Regency Dar Es Salaam hotel between 24th - 26th September, while the the workshop will be held at the Bank of Tanzania building between 26th - 29th September, 2018. Documenting hardware

I am sure this has been covered in the past but I can't seem to find it. We need a simple solution to document connections in the date center. We don't need anything fancy (e.g. something that will probe our hardware). We need something where we can enter what switch ports are connected to what servers the vlans for each port etc. TIA.

Sourcing Dell servers in Buenos Aires (AR)

Hi helpful people around the world, we are currently at a loss of sourcing Dell servers (R630 etc.) for our Buenos Aires datacenter... can anybody here jump in and provide us with hardware there short-term, or recommend a local dealer? We need to upgrade quickly, and estimates for import run in weeks to months :-( Yours, Elmar.

I don't particularly like having misdirected traffic or badly configured hosts sending junk to those who happen to be announcing addresses from this prefix. BGP in a containers

I am working on an personal experiment and was wondering what is the best option for running BGP in a docker base container. I have seen a lot blogs and docs referencing Quagga. I just want to make sure I am not over looking any other options before I dive in. Any thoughts or suggestions? -James

Google Peering/Edge Network Contact?

Does anyone have a contact for Google Peering / PNI? We have a caching appliance whose BGP session has been flapping nonstop for the past month or so. We've had a ticket open with Google since it started, but they haven't really made any headway, or provided much of a response.
