These improvements are informed by the community consultation that closed on 20 September 2023. Based on feedback received from our community during the consultation, ARIN plans to deploy the following features in ARIN Online and in our Application Programming Interface (API) for Hosted RPKI: 1. When a Route Origin Authorization (ROA) is generated, an auto-managed IRR route object will be created based on the contents of the ROA. This feature will be on by default but can be disabled by user action at the Org level. Additionally, a user can opt out of creating an auto-managed IRR route object upon each instance of ROA generation. All auto-managed IRR Route Objects will be identified as such in a remark field. 2. Auto-managed route objects resulting from ROA generation will use the prefix entry only and not take the maxLength value into consideration (using the least specific match). At ROA generation, the user will have the option to replace any existing, matching, and unmanaged route objects with an auto-managed route object. Users may manually create longer match IRR objects, but these manually created objects will not be auto managed. 3. Deleting a ROA will remove associated auto-managed IRR route objects. A user can opt out of removing auto-managed IRR route objects upon each instance of ROA deletion. If a user chooses to not delete an auto-managed IRR route object, the remarks field will be updated to reflect that the IRR route object is no longer auto-managed. Users maintain the ability to create, modify, or delete all IRR route objects through the Manage IRR page in ARIN Online. 4. ARIN Online users will have the option to selectively create auto-managed IRR route objects based on the Org’s existing ROAs in ARIN’s RPKI repository. The Reg-RWS API will be updated to reflect the capabilities as described in items one through three above. REMINDER: Call for Participation -- ICANN81 DNSSEC and Security Workshop

Thanks, Jacques Call for Participation -- ICANN DNSSEC and Security Workshop for ICANN Annual General Meeting In cooperation with the ICANN Security and Stability Advisory Committee (SSAC), we are planning a DNSSEC and Security Workshop for the ICANN81 Annual General Meeting being held as a hybrid meeting from 09-14 November 2024 in Istanbul, Türkiyea in the Turkey Time TRT- (UTC +3). This workshop date will be determined once ICANN creates a block schedule for us to follow; then we will be able to request a day and time. The DNSSEC and Security Workshop has been a part of ICANN meetings for several years and has provided a forum for both experienced and new people to meet, present and discuss current and future DNSSEC deployments. For reference, the most recent session was held at the ICANN80 The Policy Forum on Monday, 10 June 2024. The DNSSEC Workshop Program Committee is developing a program for the upcoming meeting. Proposals will be considered for the following topic areas and included if space permits. In addition, we welcome suggestions for additional topics either for inclusion in the ICANN78 workshop, or for consideration for future workshops. 1. Global DNSSEC Activities Panel For this panel, we are seeking participation from those who have been involved in DNSSEC deployment as well as from those who have not deployed DNSSEC but who have a keen interest in the challenges and benefits of deployment, including Root Key Signing Key (KSK) Rollover activities and plans. 2. DNSSEC Best Practice Now that DNSSEC has become an operational norm for many registries, registrars, and ISPs, what have we learned about how we manage DNSSEC? * Do you still submit/accept DS records with Digest Type 1? * What is the best practice around key roll-overs? * What about Algorithm roll-overs? * Do you use and support DNSKEY Algorithms 13-16? * How often do you review your disaster recovery procedures? * Is there operational familiarity within your customer support teams? * What operational statistics have been gathered about DNSSEC? * Are there experiences being documented in the form of best practices, or something similar, for transfer of signed zones? Activities and issues related to DNSSEC in the DNS Root Zone are also desired. 3. DNSSEC Deployment Challenges The program committee is seeking input from those that are interested in implementation of DNSSEC but have general or particular concerns with DNSSEC. In particular, we are seeking input from individuals that would be willing to participate in a panel that would discuss questions of the following nature: * Are there any policies directly or indirectly impeding your DNSSEC deployment? (RRR model, CDS/CDNSKEY automation) * What are your most significant concerns with DNSSEC, e.g., complexity, training, implementation, operation or something else? * What do you expect DNSSEC to do for you and what doesn't it do? * What do you see as the most important trade-offs with respect to doing or not doing DNSSEC? 4. Security Panel The program committee is looking for presentations on DNS, DNSSEC, routing and other topics that could impact the security and/or stability of the Internet. We are looking for presentations that cover implementation issues, challenges, opportunities and best practices for: * Emerging threats that could impact the security and/or stability of the Internet * DoH and DoT * RPKI (Resource Public Key Infrastructure) * BGP routing & secure implementations * MANRS ( Mutually Agreed Norms for Routing Security) * Browser security - DNS, DNSSEC, DoH * EMAIL & DNS related security - DMARC, DKIM, TLSA, etc... Survey for operators on IPv6 Extension Headers

Hi NANOG, TL;DR We're still trying to collect more responses from operators, please take a look at the survey [1]. This survey is anonymous (you and your responses), does not require login, and is quite short. On behalf of the University of Liege (Belgium), we've been doing measurements on IPv6 Extension Headers over the last two/three years. More specifically, we're trying to evaluate how they are processed by routers along the path, and so from the edge. Now, we would like to compare our observations with the reality of operators. For that, we propose this very short survey [1] to operators and would really appreciate if you could complete it. Note that we guarantee anonymity of your answers by not sharing any data. AT&T/Cingular Wireless Switching Contact

We're having trouble with customers on AT&T/Cingular Wireless SPID 6214 calling into numbers that have ported into us that have our LRN. We had a similar issue in July that resolved itself after several weeks, but it has started back up again. Native/non-ported numbers of ours can be called just fine but not any that have ported into us that have our LRN. Was wondering if anybody from AT&T/Cingular Wireless SPID 6214 monitors this list and can contact me off-list or point me in the right direction for further details so we can hopefully troubleshoot and resolve these issues between us. NTT in Montreal

Anyone knows if NTT is present in Montreal ? We would like to connect to their network but all available info says they don't have a PoP in Montreal. Sales is also pretty confused, however I saw on LinkedIn that they advertise a position for Onsite Network Engineer - so that got my hopes up.
