Newbies Question: Do I really need to sacrifice Prefix-aggregation to do BGP Load-sharing? (the case of Multi-homed + Multi-routers + Multi-upstreams)

Dear Guru(s), My apologies if these questions have already been asked; in that case, please kindly point me to the answer(s). I hope the following information sufficiently describes my current "context": - Single customer: ourselves - One big IPv4 block + one big IPv6 block - Native Dual-Stack, Non-tunneling - Non-transit (actually, a “multi-homed Stub”) - “All-green” IRR & RPKI registered (based on IRRexplorer report) - Fully-aggregated route announcement (based on CIDR report) - Two (Cisco) gateway routers on our side - Two upstreams (See the following lines), fully cross-connected to our gateways - One (pure) commercial ISP - One academic consortium ISP (who actually uses the above-mentioned commercial ISP as one of its upstreams as well) My current “situation”: - All inbounds “flock” in through the commercial ISP, overflowing the bandwidth; since (my guess) the academic ISP also uses that commercial ISP as its upstream, there is no way for its path to be shorter. Questions: 1. Do I really have to “de-aggregate” the address blocks, so I can do the “manual BGP load-sharing”? I hate to do it because it will increase the global route-table entries, plus there will be IRR & RPKI “hijack gaps” to contend with at my end. 2. If the answer to the above question is definitely “yes”, please point me to the Best-Practice in doing the “manual BGP load-sharing (on Cisco)”. Is it possible this is a geolocation issue? I'm not sure I've heard of that causing a 403 Forbidden, but I'm also not too familiar with AWS. Justin H. AWS Blacklisting?

I have a customer who's suddenly been getting 403's today on AWS hosted sites. My google-fu seems to be failing me because I can't seem to find any information on who manages that on their side or how to fix the issue. I've sent an email to amzn-noc-contact(a)amazon.com based on ARIN contacts, but it doesn't seem to be a responsive address. Has anyone had to navigate this particular maze before? If anyone has on-net site/POP lists for AS1239 that are at least 8-10 years old or older, I'm wondering if I could get a copy. Obviously nothing that anybody signed an NDA for, maybe some people out there have some spreadsheets or text files that were shared by Sprint sales persons many years ago. This is related to some information I am gathering to improve documentation of what will apparently become part of Cogent in the Pacific Northwest, with T-Mobile's sale of sprint's wireline business. -Eric

This was the reply I got from ARIN to my inquiry: Hello George Absolutely out of region organizations can establish an Organization ID and record with ARIN. They should be asked if it is for reallocation purposes and once that is answered affirmatively then ARIN will create the record. At this time ARIN does require a $50 dollar fee as well as the organization must sign an RSA. Please reach out if you or anyone else has other questions. Thanks, John S. ARIN ORG ID for non-ARIN region company

Hello, Does anybody know if it possible to create ARIN ORG ID for non-ARIN region company? We are LACNIC region based. In LACNIC as well as RIPE regions the RIRs allow creation of ORG IDs for non-region companies for purposes of IP reallocations, etc. (e.g. IPv4 lease, etc.). I have gone to ARIN ORG ID registration page but it says only ARIN region companies can register in ARIN. We need this for purposes of IPv4 reallocation of our IPv4 leased subnets so also the contact handles are reallocated to us. ARIN asks me to pay for creation of ORG ID, but I would lose the payment if the request is denied. We do not plan to request any resources, no ASN or IP resources will be requested through that ORG ID, it's only to allow for full IPv4 reallocation (including contact handles).
