Segment Routing for L2VPN?

Hello! I've been doing some reading recently on Segment Routing. By all accounts, it seems that the (only?) implementation for SR supports L3VPN. Am I dumb and just missing the L2VPN bits, or is L3VPN simply the extent of the first generation? Sent from my iPhone

DDoS auto-mitigation best practices (for eyeball networks)

Could the community share some DDoS auto-mitigation best practices for eyeball networks, where the target is a residential broadband subscriber? I'm not asking so much about the customer communication as much as configuration of any thresholds or settings, such as: - minimum traffic volume before responding (for volumetric attacks) - minimum time to wait before responding - filter percentage: 100% of the traffic toward target (or if volumetric, just a certain percentage)? - time before mitigation is automatically removed - and if the attack should recur shortly thereafter, time to respond and remove again - use of an upstream provider(s) mitigation services versus one's own mitigation tools - network placement of mitigation (presumably upstream as possible) - and anything else I ask about best practice for broadband subscribers on eyeball networks because it's different environment than data center and hosting environments or when one's network is being used to DDoS a target. Sign-On Letter to the Court in the FCC's Net Neutrality Case

Dear colleagues, Apologies in advance for the spam, but as many of you know, several large ISPs and their industry organizations are challenging the FCC's recent net neutrality order in court. Since the outcome of this case could have real consequences for how Internet services work in the future, I'm writing you today to ask you to sign on to a letter that EFF and ACLU have prepared for the court. The letter explains several key engineering concepts that are vital to understanding how the Internet actually operates (e.g. the end-to-end principle, the layered network stack, how IP routing works, etc.). It also stays away from legal arguments, and instead focuses on the technical arguments for how net neutrality has been key to the design and operation of the Internet since its beginning. SMS Gateway

Today we use a product from MultiTech Systems call MultiModem iSMS to send SMS text messages from our monitoring system to our on call staff. This is a 2G product and we need to replace it soon. I know there are more generic cellular modems that can do texting if you are willing to put in the effort, the product we use currently though has a simple HTTP based API specifically to send SMS. Is anybody out there using something similar that can work on 3G or 4G networks?
