Thanks George and sorry about the typo, our correct RTBH community is 7029:4507. If you are a Windstream BGP customer and need our material on our communities please contact your account team. Additionally, as in George's case, we found his BGP configuration was incorrect and we were not accepting /32 routes. If you experience any issue using any of our communities (no export, etc..) please open a ticket with the Windstream Enterprise Repair Center (ERC). Just wanted to follow up on this. The RTBH community is 7029:4507. After some route filter adjustments on their side (to accept a /32 advertisement from us), we're now good to go. Thanks to everyone that helped us get this sorted out. George

Ongoing AT&T Wireless (LTE) IPv6 Reachability Issues

I attempted to use normal channels today at AT&T (enduser support) to address a reachability issue with AT&T Wireless to http://jimtest.delong.com. This left AT&T's enduser support utterly befuddled. Sadly, this is still the company that famously claimed ""We don't support reaching web sites over IP". Since I'm paying for the entire Internet, and not half of it, and enduser support is too ignorant to understand the problem, I'm wondering if someone here can tell me when AT&T Wireless intends to fix their LTE network since ARIN is out of IPv4 address space. Shame on you AT&T Wireless. Both T-Mobile and Verizon support IPv6. Andrew

Team Cymru BGP bogon status ???

Starting around 7:17 am EST, we lost our IPv4 & IPv6 BGP connections to Cymru. We have two connections in both IPv4 and IPv6 on both of our two routers. On each router one connection is stuck in active, the other providing 0 prefixes. I can’t get to http://www.team-cymru.org from either work or home. Anyone know what’s up?

Why doesn't Windstream have RTBH for their BGP customers? It cannot be impossible to implement.

Yes, of course Windstream supports RTBH, we have a standard community and have had for years, depending on which legacy AS you connect with us the tag you would have been given might be different. Our current AS7029 standard for RTBH is to tag your route(s) with 4506 and we will black hole the tagged route at our edge. As you know Windstream (like many ISP's) is a collection of legacy AS's, we have merged all our legacy AS's into one and now operate as only AS7029 but you might still be peering as a customer with us using one of our 12 former AS's, such as Paetec AS1785, as we employed the alias knob to integrate our AS's to not have to "touch" every BGP customer, this is pretty standard practice as we work on consolidating our IP Networks. We have been and continue to work through our standardization of our BGP policy and have not yet reached all of the thousands of BGP speaking customers. We have been working with our Product, Sales and Sales Engineering organizations to get the word out to our customers about our *new* standard communities and policies and the fact that ultimately we would like all our BGP customers to peer with AS7029 and convert from using one of the many legacy AS's we operated under. small automatic transfer switches

Does anyone have any recommendations for a small, cheap, reliable ATS? (I know, pick two, you can't have all three) I'm looking for something to power one or two 120V out-of-band network device(s) in each location with a single power supply each, much less than 10 amps total, with two 120v input cords. The primary input cord will go to the UPS and the other directly to a wall outlet to be able to access the UPS when if fails to turn on after the power returns :-) I found the usual suspects, APC, TrippLite, ServerTech, etc. but they are mostly 8 or more outlets and upwards of $300-$900 each. I also found this neat one, Zonit uATS, which is a small box that piggybacks onto the powered device's C14 input and has two power cords coming out of it. But it seems to cost just as much as the bigger ones...
