Apple blocking downloads to certain IP address

Hello all, We seem to keep having problems with Apple blocking app downloads and software updates to one of our IP addresses we use to NAT some customers to. To fix it in the past, we've switched customers to a different IP and it works awhile then it stops again. Anyone have a contact for Apple so we can get our entire subnet whitelisted to not be blocked? Microwave link capacity

In a context of providing rural communities with modern broadband. Reading some tells me that Microwave links can be raised to 1gbps. How common is that ? I assume that cell phone towers have modern microwave links (when not directly on fibre). What sort of capacity would typically be provided ? And in the case of a remote village/town served by microwave originally designed to handle just phone calls, how difficult/expensive is it to upgrade to 1gbps or higher capacity ? Just a change of radio ? or radio and antenna, keeping only the tower ? (keeping spectrum acquisition out of discussion as that is a whole other ball game).

Dear Nanog'er, We are facing a lot of port scan and brute force attack on port 22 (but not limited to) from Microsoft AS 8075 range toward our own infra, or toward our customers. We have sent email to abuse(a)microsoft.com, but no answer. source ip are: NetRange: 40.74.0.0 - 40.125.127.255 CIDR: 40.74.0.0/15, 40.112.0.0/13, 40.124.0.0/16, 40.76.0.0/14, 40.80.0.0/12, 40.125.0.0/17, 40.96.0.0/12, 40.120.0.0/14 NetName: MSFT We consider port scan and brute force on ssh port as an attack, and even as a pre-DDOS phase (could be use to install botnet, detect unpatched host, and so one). It's one thing to propose services and make money over an infra, it's an other thing to take care that you clients do not use this infra to make illegal stuffs. How do you deal with such massive amount of 'illegal' traffic ? Best practices for sending network maintenance notifications

All, We recently, at $dayjob, had one of our peers (at Symantec) send out a network maint notification, putting 70 addresses in the "To:" field, rather than using BCC or the exchange's mailing list. Naturally, when you mail 30 addresses, of the forms peering@ and noc@ various organizations, you're likely to hit at least a few autoresponders and ticket systems... And at least one or two of those autoresponders are of course brainded and configured to reply-all. (In this case, Verizon's ServiceNow setup was such a stupid responder). And that made things fun in our own ticket system, as our RT setup happily created a bunch of tickets. My question for the group -- does anyone know if there's a "best practices" for sending maint notifications like this? An RFC sort of thing? While it would define a social protocol, rather than a truly technical one, if there's not such a document, it seems like it could useful. And once such a thing exists, exchanges could of course helpfully point their members AT it (for both their humans, and ticket systems, to follow). -Dan --

Anyone on here from gmail that can help with an issue. One of your email servers has been blacklisted by spam cop and is still in rotation. It's causing individual senders to be blocked on our side. If possible can you remove that server from rotation? IP is: 209.85.161.176
