Remote power cycle recommendations

I’m sure many here are familiar with or using/have used devices to remotely power cycle equipment. I’m considering a Dataprobe iBoot-G2 and am curious if you’ve had experience with it, or other recommendations. I only need one outlet to be remotely power cycle-able. I have one piece of equipment that is occasionally a little flaky and, well, you know the hassle. What do people recommend? There seem to be plenty out there which are more designed to auto-reboot when Internet connectivity is lost, aka remotely reboot the ‘ol cable modem for instance, but that’s not my scenario. Call for Presentations 35th TechDay at ICANN 62 in Panama City The ICANN Tech Working Group is again planning a technical workshop at the ICANN 62 meeting in Panama City on Monday 2018-06-25 after the DNSSEC Lunch. The TechDay workshop has been a part of ICANN meetings since 2006 and has provided a forum for both experienced and new people to meet, present and discuss technical topics related to registry and DNS work and security. Internet topology resources

Hi all, two quick questions: Is there any way to retrieve BGP data (e.g. table dumps, updates, ...) such that i.) the data is not already available in the RIPE RIS, Routeviews, PCH, Isolario, or BGPmon projects and ii.) it is not necessary to query a Looking Glass to death (e.g. get all neighbors, for each neighbor get all prefixes, for each prefix get all announcements)? Are there any traceroute (or related) projects that currently still make their data publically available except for MLAB, RIPE Atlas, Caida, the Bismark Projekt, the portolan project? In addition, if you know somebody that knows somebody (...) that probably might be capable of giving me access to an IXP Route Server dump, a set of traceroutes that is not published publically yet, or something related I would *really* appreciate if you could forward me the contact! :) All data is supposed to be used in a research context, more specific my master thesis, therefore I would also accept annonymized data as long as it still contains useful topology information. Slight recurring Packet Loss at Equinix Ashburn

Hi everyone, Apologies for the noise and feel-free to reply off-list. We have a transit link to Equinix Ashburn where we see regular 12-20% packet loss on "some" of the peers there. We are working with the transit partner and Equinix NOC for the past few days. I can provide graph and IPs off-list if needed but I just wanted to do a quick cursosy check if anyone else saw similar issues over the past two weeks. Thank you

Well, personally for me, I use secret registration because I was tired of all the spam I got. Spammers scrape whois data for email addresses. I not trying to hide my identity on the web, I just don't like spam. I'm not some dark evil force. China Showdown Huawei vs ZTE

Of the two large Chinese Vendors, which has the better network operating system? Huawei is much larger that ZTE is my understanding, but larger does not always mean better. Both of these manufactures have switches and routers. I doubt we will use their routing products anytime soon, but the switching products with MPLS are what we are exploring. Price wise both of these vendors seem to have 10G MPLS capable switches that are a 1/4 of the price of a Cisco or Juniper wants to charge. On the Huawei side looks like the S6720 is a fit. On the ZTE side, it looks like the ZXR10 5960 Series is a fit. Has anyone had experience with either of these two switches? How do they compare? Also, for each independent brand, is their switching network operating system the same as their routing network operating system that their routers run?
