Hail NANOG! It's me again. =) And I'm back with this year's "State of Network Automation Survey." MORE INFO: This survey aims to get a rough outline of the state of network automation around the world, across all kinds of networks. I hope I struck a good balance of allowing both long-term trending, and short-term improvements. 2 - Some folks voiced concerns over using a Google form and requiring an email address; after a bit of research, this still seems to be the best way to get the best results from the widest possible audience under my available time constraints. If you want to avoid the form, let me know and I will email you the questions, and you can email back your answers. 3 - Some folks voiced concerns over including financial questions; after speaking with a lot of our colleagues, I still believe that financial information is one key metric that will help us understand the adoption of automation - love it or hate it, money is a relevant metric. Telstra/GTT high latency in Singapore

I know this list is only for N/A but curious if anyone might have an insight. We use IBM Cloud in Singapore and they use Telstra which connects to GTT locally in Singapore, but their local latency is wild, spanning from 2ms to 40ms. Fwiw, still ongoing I raised an AWS ticket and they’re looking into it. If there’s any friendly AWS Net Engineers on list, your help removing Twelve99 from route would be appreciated. Any ideas how long gmail cache DNS records ?

In typical "Google knows best" style they appear to be ignoring SOA and TTL and doing their own thing. Changed DNS severs and MX records, other public mail services have picked it up no problem. Gmail however appear to be insisting on continuing to deliver to the old mail servers for god knows how much longer ? Any ideas how long I can expect this to go on for before they Do The Right Thing (TM) ?

AS1299 Packet Loss between ORD and MCI

Unlocked ATT copper cabinet in Austin TX

If anyone on the list knows how to get info to ATT local repair in Austin TX, specifically the Hickory CO, I’d appreciate you forwarding this info. All the repair pages want a local ATT number to report problems now, and I’m no longer an ATT customer. The copper cabinet on Monroe near Travis Heights boulevard is unlocked and open.
