The spammer, "Mike Prescott"... not his real last name... has also been spotted spewing from IP space routed by AS200002, which is AS201640's only connection to the rest of the world. Coincidence? But there are additional route announcements that have already been withdrawn, and I'd like to check those for "Mike Prescott" footprints also. P.P.S. Route Issue Level3 to GTT - Packet loss & Latency

Hit a strange route issue earlier transiting Level3 network to GTT - Packet Loss & High Latency - caused some interruptions in critical traffic flow. Between Level3 hop 4.68.63.158 and GTT 144.136.105.226 - had a 20ms latency increase and packet loss. After about 1+ hours the route had shifted and latency dropped back down. Does anyone have details on this by any chance? Comcast throttling?

Similar to another thread on the list today, I'm troubleshooting a problem for a customer on Comcast business fiber. Downloading a file from one of our web servers is very slow (~15KByte/sec). mtr looks clean in both directions. I added an IP address on the same server from a different class C on our network, and downloads form this new IP are fast (2MByte/sec). Tracerouting from server to client is the same using both source IPs. But, one IP consistently has the very slow speeds that the other does not. Changing our outbound path between different upstreams does not make a difference. It certainly feels like Comcast is throttling one of our IP ranges. Comcast Enterprise Fiber Slow Connection Problem from TW Telecom

We have been having a problem receiving software releases from our developer. The releases are typically around 1G in size. The developer’s connection is a 100m metro fiber with TW Telecom, our connection is a 25m Comcast Enterprise Fiber. Our traffic graphs show very little utilization of our connection. Typically on average we are at about 7 meg utilization of our 25. Every other partner that shares in our software development that receives the software releases can receive the updates 3-4 times faster than we can. Typically we receive the releases at about 3mbps. I have tried contacting Comcast Enterprise Tech support, however I’ve been told that if I run a speed test from my connection and the test runs at the speed we are paying for, there is very little they are willing to look into. Can anyone check on the Comcast Routers on the Tracert below, or is there anything that can be throttling this connection between the two connections? Also, our firewall and connection is able to run at the full 25. We have no throttling or QOS set to prevent a good connection to our developer. For example, we can run a multi-threaded upload, in the middle of the night, to Amazon Glacier storage and completely saturate our connection when doing so. The firewall and connection is able to handle our full bandwidth capacity during that backup. If there is any other information I can provide to help track this problem down, please let me know. I'm still getting a 404. I am using a Windstream backbone, is this maybe path/server specific.
