(These topics we think will complement the usual high-quality data-based research submissions we always hope to receive!) If you have something interesting to share with the community that lies outside of the focus above, please don't be put off - if it's good, we'll be happy to include it. I'm using Thunderbird to read mail and lately the only thing I've seen in the mail.from address is |North American Network Operators Group | and not the author's address which makes it really hard to tell who is talking to whom. I is just me, or has there been a list config change that is causing this? Mike

Hello! I tried to contact AS18881, because some of their IPv6 networks are not propagated to AS3320. I used the addresses in the whois, but got no reply and the issue persists. This affects 2804:1b1:c000::/35 and others. Can anybody give a hint how to contact them? -- kind regards Marco

Amazon AWS cloudfront WAF block

Hi all Most if not all of our prefixes are on some sort of AWS WAF deny list, that or our ASN is listed. We are an eyeball network, geo-location websites e.g maxmind are correctly displaying the correct location and services for our prefixes. We do not have a support contract with amazon aws to create a support ticket. Various websites are now blocked, e.g Reddit and many more. It is not feasible for us to reach out to each one to adjust their aws waf filters. Upon emailing AWS this is their reply: "The best course of action would be to contact Neustar and or MaxMind who are 3rd party WAF aggregators on this to address any issues with WAF blocking." This is also not fair and frankly a rabbit hole we do not want to go down. These are also paid for services. AWS is almost holding our ASN/Prefixes as hostage to these paid for services with no easy way to check why we are being blocked, and getting off "some" list. Anyone have an idea / contact or what to do?

Three of our locations with Cogent Internet service are unable to access a web site. Three of our non-Cogent locations are able to access the site just fine. We get the error message below, and I don't know enough about this to tell if the issue is with Cogent, with a CDN, or with the web server. Can anyone offer insight? i get nightly log reportd from rpki servers of various flavors. two, see $ubject, seem to be popular enough that others may have tooling to help. for each, i want log filters/analysers which tell me about bad things i can do something about. i do not care about the 42,000 sick servers out there as i do not have time to fix the world. i do not care about things not needing action on *my* part. i expect/hope for a null report most days. i do not want a fully featured blob, a gooey, a large wad of dependencies, ... just something stupid i can pipe the logs through old fashioned unix style. randy

Misblock (via SNI) of obscura.net on various ISPs

Our (Obscura’s) users are reporting that obscura.net and subdomains are being blocked. See end of message for why we think it’s SNI-based. They’ve observed this on at least Spectrum, Comcast, and United Airlines (whatever their upstream is). We are losing users as I write this, which is why I’m asking (read: pleading) for NANOG’s help. On Spectrum, the user notes that they see from their Spectrum portal that “Secure Browsing” was the culprit. Specifically, they see that pkgs.obscura.net is blocked with the following detail: > Secure Browsing prevents you from visiting potentially harmful websites. These may include sites that spread malware or use phishing attacks to steal your data. When a website is blocked, you may see the Security Shield icon appear on your browser. We are a new VPN service, and definitely not a phishing site. More details: https://obscura.net/blog/bootstrapping-trust/ We’d love any help in any and all of the below: 1. If you operate an ISP, especially Spectrum or Comcast, please unblock us. 2. If you know how I can get into contact with Spectrum or Comcast and not have to wait for 5 business days, we’d love to know. 2. If you have any ideas for how we could resolve this ASAP, we’re open to any and all suggestions.
