Hi, Just wondering if anyone could shed light on my concern..... I've been Google-ing about if there is such a standard that sets the minimum IPv6 advertisement on BGP. My concern is that I am running a network that is operating on multiple sites and currently rolling out our IPv6 on the perimeter level. Having to get our /48 allocation from our RIR, I figured out I would it would be best for us to break down the /48 into smaller chunks (i.e /56s) and farm it out to our sites since a single /48 will be very big for our single site. Issues with connectivity through CoreSite & Voxel in LAX (help!)

Hi all, We're having a hell of a time at the moment, with upstream connectivity issues for traffic going through Voxel in LAX. We're a few hops away (our provider peers with CoreSite who peer with Voxel), and aren't having much luck getting assistance on getting this resolved. We're 8 hours in to these issues. Suggestion on Fiber tester

I am in the market for a simple fiber tester. I have about 80 pairs running through my complex and we are running into some possible issues with some of the really old ones. The pen light to confirm that it's the right strand is going to require a little bit more insight to determine if there is an issue with fiber in conduit or patch. I don't need something super fancy, just need something that gives a good, bad or "holy crap is that concrete you are testing on" for starters. I am also shooting for about $150-250 tops. Any suggestions? Thanks! Blake

It's a waste, even if we're "planning for the future", no one house needs a /64 sitting on their lan.. or at least none I can sensibly think of o_O.
