Dear NANOG 61 Attendees: Welcome to NANOG 61! Hosted by NTT Communications, at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue in Bellevue, Washington. We are expecting a strong attendance at the meeting; with over 825 individuals registered, 251 have indicated they are attending a NANOG meeting for the first time. Of those attending, 180 are also NANOG Members. We prepared this message to provide you with information and brief reminders to help you prepare for the NANOG meeting. *Agenda* The complete NANOG 61 agenda is available on the NANOG website, along with the NANOG meeting hotel space layout. The NANOG Agenda is also available to download to your local electronic calendar via Guidebook. The app is compatible with iPhones, iPads, iPod Touches and Android devices. To use Guidebook go to https://guidebook.com/getit/ Once the app is installed, select “Download Guides” at the bottom and search for “NANOG 61”. There are a number of features in guidebook this meeting. You can check out who is onsite at NANOG 61, download all or only some of the agenda items that you want, and you can connect to social media sites, find a map of the hotel meeting venue, and you can even take the General and Daily Presentation survey right from your mobile device! *Meeting Check-in * Meeting registration & check-in will be held at the Grand Ballroom Foyer, located on the 2nd floor of the hotel. If you are headed west, The inbound for us516 to phx is over Oklahoma. The gate agent said there are only 47 checked in but the flight it's sold out. The lady at the counter wouldn't put me on standby but the gate agent gave me a seat. It might be worth the trek out here. We left hotel @ 7:15A, zero traffic. Got to ATL, north domestic terminal (AA) in nothing flat. Very little line at the AA check-in counter, there was a line at Southwest (walked past it), but wasn't ridiculous. The TSA PRE line was open and there was a total of one person taking off her shoes at the metal detector. (Yes, she was confused.) Other lines had people, but no way it was more than 30 minutes and probably less. There's an Admiral's Club here. Given only 4 AA gates, I'm pleasantly surprised. It is not on any of the signs. The people behind the desk say the airport will not allow any lounge on the signs, so do not get discouraged if you don't see yours. Board looked very good, only one cancelation and one late flight on AA. Hope it stays that way today. Just FYI: There's a storm warning for Boston area Sat morning to Sun morning, minimum of 8 inches. Unlike ATL, that won't close the city, but it absolutely will impact travel at least a little. So if you are going to the northeast, you might have problems on the destination end even if ATL is clear. Good luck to you all! -- TTFN, patrick

At atl now. US Air just cancelled flights to Charlotte and Philly. Took an hour for MArta to get to station at 9am. Nice weather here. If anyone wants to join me in Admirals Club, just drop me a message. My direct flight to Phoenix now leaves at 5. Good luck all! Just an fyi, There is only one security checkpoint open due to minimal staff so the lines are LONG. If you're flight is sooner than later you may want to make your way to the airport asap. Plugged in the FB wall wart to charge the MRV battery, didn't have a USB cable or anything plugged in, just inserted wall wart into wall in bathroom here in hotel. POOOOOOOOOOOOOOF!! The magic smoke escaped instantly. :( Of course, a single data point is only a single data point, but figured I'd let others know. -- TTFN, patrick
