Committee and decide whether to adopt amendments to the NANOG Charter. In this year’s
voting, five candidates are vying for three Steering Committee positions, and one charter
amendment has been proposed. Eligible voters are those who have attended at least one
NANOG meeting in the past two years; as a registered attendee of NANOG50, you are
automatically an eligible voter. Complete information about the election is available at:

Community Meeting

We invite you to attend and participate in the NANOG Community Meeting on Sunday, October
3, from 5:45-7:00 p.m. in the Ellington Ballroom. The Community Meeting is an important
opportunity to hear updates from, and communicate with, the committees that support and
guide the meetings and the NANOG community. The Community Meeting will also feature
comments from the five Steering Committee candidates and discussion of the proposed
charter amendment.
Newcomers' Tutorial and Breakfast
------
If this is your first NANOG meeting, you are invited to attend Sunday's 1 p.m. Newcomers
(first-time attendee) tutorial in Salon G/H for an overview of the meeting. You will also
want to attend the Newcomers' Continental Breakfast, 8:30 a.m. Monday in the Exhibit Hall,
where committee members, Merit staff and long-time NANOGers will talk about the
organization, the meetings, and how to make best use of both. Please plan to attend to
learn more about NANOG and how to get the most out of your first meeting.
