NANOGers, We are beginning our final preparations in support of NANOG 67 <https://www.nanog.org/meetings/nanog67/home> taking place June 13-15, 2016 in Chicago, IL. The meeting will be held at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park. In addition, prior to the start of NANOG 67, The NANOG Program Committee is pleased to announce the first NANOG one-day Hackathon, Sunday, June 12, 2016 , <https://www.nanog.org/meetings/nanog67/hackathon> at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park. The event will feature new ideas and hacks for automating production Internet networks. The NANOG event is planned in partnership with FaceBook and will require a separate registration process. The NANOG Program Committee continues in its dedication to present NANOG 67 attendees with quality presentations, track discussions, and tutorials. NANOG Community, The NANOG Program Committee is excited to announce that we are accepting proposals for all sessions at NANOG 67 in Chicago, IL on June 13-15, 2016. EdgeConneX will be the Local Host at NANOG 67. The NANOG Program Committee seeks proposals for presentations, panels, tutorials, and tracks sessions for the NANOG 67 program. We welcome suggestions of keynote speakers or topic ideas. Presentations may cover current technologies already deployed or soon-to-be deployed in the Internet. Vendors are welcome to submit talks which cover relevant technologies and capabilities, but presentations must not be promotional or discuss proprietary solutions. NANOG 67 submissions can be entered on the NANOG Program Committee Site <https://pc.nanog.org/>. How To Submit The primary speaker, moderator, or author should submit a presentation proposal and an abstract on the Program Committee Site <https://pc.nanog.org/>. Please upload draft slides as soon as possible so the Program Committee can understand the intended structure and level of detail covered by the talk. SCIX-STL Meeting in St Louis - Moving Forward

Good afternoon, Thank you for attending SCIX-STL Design Review meeting yesterday at the T-REX !! RECAP: A quick recap of our Smart City Internet Exchange - STL meeting: a). Fabric # 1 will generally be used for service provider and data center peering. b). Fabric #2 will be used for Smart City services, sensor networks, IoE, advanced security services, innovation districts and neighborhoods. c). SCIX-STL will have several Root nameservers, approximately 300 Top Level Domain nameservers, and other standard services for the exchange NEXT STEPS: We are currently accepting letters of intent from organizations interested in becoming founding participants of SCIX-STL. Your letter entitles you to participate in the SCIX-STL founders committee and complete development of the articles, bylaws, operating agreement and any other contracts. We are also looking for other participants or IX initiatives to join the exchange. If you, or another interested interested party would be interested to join please feel free to respond to this message. As of yesterday, we have two letters in hand and more on the way. We would also like to thank Bill Woodcock from PCH who did a great job of walking us through the issues related to the history, design, operation, maintenance and governance issues central to the success of IX's around the globe.
