Expired SSL cert for mms.nexteldata.net
According to my Blackberry, it expired last night at midnight UTC. RSA/1024, issued by Verisign. Serial number ends in 73aa 0f08 Is anyone at Nextel/Sprint/RIM listening here? My Blackberry tells me what the problem is, but for everyone on normal phones, it's probably just an error; calling first-tier support seems... unproductive. Cheers, -- jra -- Jay R. End of the world, no. Important to Nextel and any of their clients who receive MMS messages? Probably. Any reasonable way to clear the report on a Saturday, other than here? Nuh uh. I would expect that anyone with a phone stupider than a BB wouldn't have gotten a reasonable error message -- indeed, it took me three passes to figure it out. (For those playing along at home: MMS messages are sent as a specially formatted SMS -- or something very close to that -- containing a URL for the actual message body; this is why the phone might be retrieving across an SSL cert.)
