hurray! how long until VZ puts out a PR note for Fios Business customers? come on folks, let's cheer them on! (seriously, someone cheer on John... but if we cheer some for vz maybe they'll also awake from their long slumber and start deploying v6 to business and later consumer Fios?)
Thanks for all the hard work getting IPv6 deployed! I signed my company up for the trials. Can't wait to test it out :). I agree, I wish Verizon would wake up and announce something. It's pretty sad that their IPv6 support page still says 3Q12 and they've yet to say any more about their plans. I'm currently using a Hurricane Electric tunnel, which has worked well, but I'd love to have native IPv6 on my home FiOS connection. On 4/29/2013 10:06 PM, Christopher Morrow wrote:

We just deployed Fios to a remote office; sales person had been quite responsive on everything until I asked about IPv6; haven't heard from him since... If there were another option that did offer it we'd have taken it. We're using a Hurricane tunnel for the time being. David

I hope opening up IPv6 support to Comcast's higher-end customers is an indicator Comcast really is close to enabling IPv6 on their Cisco CMTSes. Those of us on Cisco-fed nodes have had to wait too long for the native IPv6 enjoyed by our Arris-fed neighbors.

Great news! Strangely, I (a Comcast Business customer at home) have noticed RAs coming across my wire for several months now. I use a Comcast-supplied Arris cable modem, with no extra routing functionality. About 4-5 months ago, I thought I'd see if there was a Comcast DHCPv6 server on that wire, and I sent it ia-na and ia-pd requests--and got responses back, and I have had a DHCPv6 client running ever since. (See the headers of this message for more info.) So from my perspective, IPv6 on Comcast Business Internet has been "just working" for at least 4 months. I have signed up for the pilot, as a /56 would be really useful so that I can run v6 on all of my networks (wireless, wired, etc.). Any idea how it will work with a simple Arris cable modem and a reclaimed Mac Mini running *BSD as the router, given that I have already proven that it works? :) thanks and keep up the good work... michael
