So I wonder why vendors don't publish source code of these ipmi firmware in first place? Like supermicro from what we know its 99% is open source stuff.
From poking around some at my limited set of examplar IPMI-like
it seems that pretty much no one (who pays them money, and complains to them, who does that?) cares? also, supermicro doesn't use something they built for this, they get an outsourced solution. things, there are like 3 vendors. (I'm sure there are more, but... it LOOKS like a very small set is just being sold out as parts to motherboard manufacturers)
