IPv8 evangelism is starting to feel like the internet version of the Jehovahs Witnesses. It is loud, it keeps banging on my mailbox, and it seems to have re-invented quite a few heresies which I thought were settled 1701 years ago at the Council of Nicea.
If IPv8 is accepted by the IETF as a standard, it is nearly impossible that a full implementation will ever be completed. If by some miracle it was completed, no serious engineer will implement it because the consensus against it is so strong. We like our job, and our addiction to food and shelter means we need to be credible in the future.
If the intent was to unify a mailing list full of people with egos nearly as large as mine, I salute your success.
So, again I ask with all possible kindness, can this thread please die?

Perhaps he could be convinced to rename it "IPv8 Cube".[1] -- "you will eat shit before you realize that ipv8 is cube truth" -SD [1] Hey, 8 even *is* a cube.
