I'm hereby declaring my intention to run for Supreme Ruler of the NANOG Moderation Committee. Once elected and elevated to that position my first action will be to institute a shadow mailing list called nanog-1d10ts. All posts from certain subscribers are redirected there instead of to the main list. Whoever started this thread's name will be the first addition to that list. Nobody will be any the wiser because no candidate for that list has the technical ability to read mail headers and the main list will be blissfully peaceful again.

You don’t ask people how to do things; you just tell them what you’re going to do, and people will bend over backwards to show you how wrong you are and how this and that would be better. With luck, you can make a PhD thesis out of it. Honestly, many of the people replying to you might be doctors themselves.
