Perhaps something I've mised, but is ARIN.Net no longer handling lookups? I usually use them to find offending users but got this when doing a lookup.
No match for 64.124.168.60
I did have the same problem yesterday (Wednesday). Looks like it is working today. Maybe some leftover bug from their conversion to the new formats? Or just high load... you can try our ipinfo page, which caches whois queries. If you are lucky, someone else looked up the same ip... http://www.dshield.org/ipinfo.php?ip=64.124.168.60 -- -------------------------------------------------------------------- jullrich@euclidian.com Collaborative Intrusion Detection join http://www.dshield.org

How else would one prove utilization levels to ARIN when in need of additional cidr space? And... what privacy rules? I've yet to see a privacy policy published that indicates a firm will not share with it's affiliates/parthers information necessary for providing service.

Uh, well, no, AFAIK, it's a common practice (and a good idea, and depending on your RR, possibly a requirement) to SWIP allocations/assignments of /29 or larger. They're just following BCP. -j

When registering residential customers, ARIN recommends the phrase "Private Residence" for the address. ISPs should provide the person's name, city, state, postal code and country to complement the private residence designation. I am shocked to see that there is a LIR that actually registers what they are supposed to (at least according to the RIPE region). Maybe not the same reason for shock though... - kurtis -
Hi, Actually this is what I was also wondering - I thought that half the time LIRs don't register their assignments? Can anyone confirm this? Thanks, Harsha.
