paul, haven't you realized yet that you are a pawn of the military industrial complex conspiracy to deny the presence of aliens from outer space here to harvest humans for food by restricting control of root nameservers? sincerely, b3n On Thu, 29 May 1997, Paul A Vixie wrote:

Since these so-called confederations only exist in Jim Fleming's overactive imagination, I'd say "no".

You forgot the reverse vampires, who are in league with the space aliens as part of the massive government conspiracy. They're simply trying to eliminate "dinner." No-one's being harvested; that theory turned out to be a misinterpretation of a dusty cook-book cover.

Excuse me. They prefer to be called "saucer people". I suspect you'll be hearing from the lawyers of the Saucer People Anti-Defamation League momentarily (as soon as they figure out how to turn off recursion on their Linux box so they can rejoin the Andromeda Galaxy root nameserver confederation). Regards, -drc
And don't forget the black helicopters. They followed the Flem-Man over from the NAIPR list. *sigh* - paul At 09:05 PM 05/29/97 -0700, Stephen Stuart wrote:

I'm rather glad that I've been so occupied during the past 2 weeks that I haven't had time to read most of my email. Anyway, Paul Vixie and others were quite correct. Root nameservers were never mentioned even during the Q&A session. But Mark Kosters did note that J has been deployed to LINX in London and some other folks were talking about deployment plans for other roots to South Africa, Japan and Australia in the hallways. ********************************************************* Michael Dillon voice: +1-415-482-2840 Senior Systems Architect fax: +1-415-482-2844 PRIORI NETWORKS, INC. http://www.priori.net "The People You Know. Hi,
But Mark Kosters did note that J has been deployed to LINX in London
The IANA has indicated J should be delegated to WIDE in Japan last week (202.12.27.33), however I note that the delegation has not yet been done... % dig @a.root-servers.net ... ;; ADDITIONAL RECORDS: J.ROOT-SERVERS.NET. 3600000 A 198.41.0.10 ... Regards, -drc

Oh well.... I got the letter names mixed up but the principle remains. There are purely root nameservers out there, one is in London and deployment for two others in Asia/Pacific is imminent. ********************************************************* Michael Dillon voice: +1-415-482-2840 Senior Systems Architect fax: +1-415-482-2844 PRIORI NETWORKS, INC. http://www.priori.net "The People You Know.
