Q: IP Space Management Software
Are any of you using software that you would recommend for large-scale management of IP space across AS', subnets from /16 to /32, differentiating IP blocks from IP hosts? Would love to hear from you if you do! Mike.

Excel !...hehe, I would (obviously) also love to hear if somebody is using something better, that is commercially available. I would worry about the program's ability to handle VLSM. Brantley
Accugraph has one. At a first glance, it looked like it could scale - however, it was pricey (reason we did not pursue) - You can download a trial version of it at their WWW site: http://www.accugraph.com Jeff

The correct approach to this problem is using a relational database. Nothing else does what you need properly. .pm Brantley Jones writes:

We use Quadritek IP Management (QIP). It works well. Barry Barry L James | Mikrotec Internet Services, Inc (AS3801) Director R & D | 1001 Winchester Rd bjames@mis.net | Lexington KY 40505 http://www.mis.net/ | 606/225.2993 800/875.5095 --- Member AAAI, IEEE # 40277528
