Mae West: Still hosed. Work Done: Replacement of SCP card on Giga-1 Removed everyone off of the giga, and replaced 1 by 1 Replacement of parts ON SCP card.
None of it worked..
Current Status: Gentleman who designed Mae-West is being flown in. He has just landed and is due to arrive onsite in 20 minutes.
Side note: peers are coming back up again as i write this (possibly another false alarm?)

OK. Latest news our NOC got. Looks impressive. Wonder if they mean Steve Feldman?
No, they don't mean me. 40 miles would be a short flight. :) I don't have details of the failure, though I have spoken with the techs a few times today. The maintenance window was to physically move MAE West downstairs into a new facility. Apparently one of the four new switches is acting up (despite having passed a burn-in test) and most peers on that switch have been experiencing connectivity problems all day. That's what I know-- the WorldCom NOC should have the latest status. Steve
