OT List Questions
Pardon the OT bandwitdh. I'm new to the nanog list and have a couple quick questions: Is this a low volume list? I am not receiving any posts. Should I not get copies of all messages to the list including my own? Where can I get instructions on list usage and options? Joe was kind enough to reply to my test (which I never saw cross the list), but the reply was to me directly, instead of to the list so I cannot tell if I'm receiving from the list? Sorry for the intrusion, your assistance is appreciated!! Thanks, Dennis ... ------------------>

i've found the volume goes up and down depending on how many backhoe's are fueled up (or, alternately, how many backhoe operators are fueled-up). (on a serious note, the list does have its overly verbose days, but normally the content is of a decent enough quality to read, and the subject line generally holds through a thread making it easy to ignore threads if you choose to do so.)

i get copies of my posts.
Where can I get instructions on list usage and options?

you're obviously subscribed to nanog-post (since you're posting) but you should make sure that you're subscribed to nanog itself so that you actually get the posts. that might be the problem. -- |-----< "CODE WARRIOR" >-----| codewarrior@daemon.org * "ah! i see you have the internet twofsonet@graffiti.com (Andrew Brown) that goes *ping*!" andrew@crossbar.com * "information is power -- share the wealth."
