is rs.internic.net/whois still down?
As near as I can tell, it is part of more generic Beast Coast problems emanating from Tyson's Corners. Probably exacerbated by less redundant links during NSI's physical moves. randy
I find that I can telnet to internic.net (port 23, not 43), type whois, and get connected to their whois server which answers queries reasonably quickly. -- John R. Depends on the time of day. I was reading an article in ?WebWeek? that said the Internic only has 4 T1s and is planning on an adding a new one. Only 6 servers and planning on adding several more.
