To make a long story short, we suffered an inadvertent MS W2K AD DNS DoS. [Microsoft Windows 2000 Active Directory Domain Name Service Denial of Service] The company misconfigured their stuff and sent all their lookups our way with milliseconds between requests. We ended up blocking their address, and things returned to normal. Ray Burkholder

Ray,
What domain are you talking about? Can you describe in more detail the problems you are seeing? Who hosts your domain name?
Thanks,
Dan

Is there anybody out there who is seeing that their DNS servers are going in and out of operation? We have 5 DNS servers, the service, not the server, is available/not-available/available. Am I imagining things or is something funky happening?
