Postponed: Ameritech NAP maintenance
As luck would have it, within 90 minutes of my sending a notice out, I was told the maintenance has been postponed. Timing is everything, they say. Naturally, we will let everyone know as soon as a new date has been scheduled. As before, customers with questions can contact me privately. -Mark Cnota Ameritech

There is going to be a significant outage in Chicago, that I thought might be of general interest to the NANOG community.
The Ameritech exchange point in Chicago is undergoing scheduled maintenance this Sunday (3/14) early morning. Following is the text of the notice that went out to customers on 2/22.
Customers with additional questions are encouraged to contact me directly.
thanks,

We, Ameritech Advanced Data Services, are informing all of our NAP customers that on Sunday, March 14th we are going to have a maintenance window from 12:00am to 6:00am CST that will be service affecting. AADS is going to perform an ATM switch migration from the Lucent GCNS 2000 to an Ascend 550/500 platform.
During this migration your circuit will go down and for how long is not determinable at this time, but will be kept to a minimum. In most cases all that is required is a cross connect change. The PVC's that each customer has will be duplicated in the new switch and your VPI/VCI will not change.
In the event that you seem to be experiencing problems beyond the scheduled maintenance window, call the AADS NMC (NOC) at 1-800-972-3441 with your Ameritech circuit ID and indicate that you are a NAP customer. International customers can call 1-847-562-7690 for trouble reporting.
We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.
Sincerely, Kevin Peterson Operations Manager AADS
