BGP - Newbie Documentation
All, Does anyone have some really good in-depth reading material on BGP for beginners? I've been handed the reigns of BGP administration for our network, but I would still consider myself very much a newbie to this... Some decent how-to's and accepted standards would be great... Thanks! -- Jason H. Frisvold PenTeleData

I highly recommend Iljitsch's book: BGP Written by Iljitsch van Beijnum Published by O'Reilly and Associates ISBN 0-596-00254-8 It has helped me a lot. Gabriel Jason Frisvold wrote:

Take a look at previous NANOG presentations on the web site. Philip Smith has some excellent presentations for beginners on this topic. -J On Mon, May 24, 2004 at 02:53:43PM -0400, Jason Frisvold wrote:

Best place I would recommend to start would be the ietf webiste (look for BGP rfc's) and the Cisco Press book: -------- Sam Halabi, "Internet Routing Architectures (2nd Edition)", Cisco Press, 15 January, 2000. ISBN: 157870233X Cheers, -Chris On Mon, 24 May 2004, Jason Frisvold wrote:
